Is Irwin injured, or just giving Smeimann a look?
BoS, it does seem Irwin is out with some kind of injury, he's missed a few in a row now. I didn't see what happened to him, he was just out of the lineup all of a sudden.
A 3 p.m. start down in Ontario today. We're getting a little shorthanded with the three concussions to Nielsen, Podkolzin, and Wouters and the undisclosed injury to Irwin on the blueline. Klimovich is not in today despite all the injuries which would suggest there could be an injury problem with him as well.
A pregame moment of silence for Adam Johnson who played in Ontario a couple of years ago. RIP
Dries with a nifty forehand backhand move in tight on Erik Portillo and it's 2-1 Ontario with five minutes to go in the second period. Bains set him up, that's ten assists now for him.

Looked like an Abby goal but Sasson goes off for goalie interference and Charles Hudon scores on the pp for Ontario.
Scramble in front of the Ontario net with Tolopilo at the bench for a 6 on 4 and Dries scores to pull Abby within a goal. Still, 3:30 left in regulation time.
Martin Chromiak puts it away for Ontario on the breakaway with Tolopilo on the bench. 5-3
Final score Ontario 5 Abbotsford 3 with the California road swing heading to Coachella Valley Tuesday, to face the Firebirds.
Would be curious to learn how many minutes Jett Woo played, the Ontario announcers picked up on it in the third when they pointed out that he was playing every second shift...
Raty needs a higher end centre to play with, especially as he learns to play the position...
