Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
These unsigned kids are not all going to make it to the show either, but an unsigned kid is the same as another 2nd-5th round pick in my books. When you have an eye for young talent like JB does, Same chance of working out. I am a lot less worried about 'lost picks' than others, I guess I would agr...

Re: Canucks Young Guns
It’s like Benning had 3 extra draft picks this year. Nonsense. These guys are available to the highest bidder and were for some reason passed over when draft eligible. They are closer to FA reclamation projects than draft picks. Or you could argue that they are more valuable than a mid to late roun...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
Why not factor in assists or points? Ok... Ehlers Points/Team points 35/698 5.01% of total points scored Nylander 26/740 3.51% of total points scored Virtanen 25/547 4.57% of total points scored So in this case of young proven players getting paid what they’re worth, you have a massive problem with...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

No points in no playoff games. Sh...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
I can't believe you posted the MASSIVE difference in career stats then said "Not so Easy". LOL. Nylander makes much ore because of the world of difference in stats. Or put another way.... Would you pay someone $5,700.00 per year for the next 5 years and $9,000,000 this year who has scored 21 goals ...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Are you involved in paying the salaries? Bookmarked Lol Blob is angry (his narrative) cause 10.2 Million William was one of his go to’s (him and razor thin Nicolaj “injuries” Ehler) when slagging the Virtanen pick. No one would take Vantanen over Nylander. No one. You know why? BECAUSE 10.2 MILLION...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
How am I his defender? I’ve said several times that his drafting sucked shit. Elmer’s drafting had been solid even though he blundered a couple top 6 picks. Not sure what it is you need in that regard. They have both made there share of horrendous trades and a pile of mostly meh trades. Probably a ...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
The only flaw in your thought process DIEHARD, is the Canucks haven't even picked in the top 4 overall once since JB's arrival and prospect analyzers like Dobber and Pronman have the Canucks prospect pool either ranked #2 or #4 in the league since last summer. And it's only gonna get better after t...

Re: Canucks Young Guns
The point is that they were developed in the minors and they can step in for injuries or trades or for whatever reason...If the D was not decimated by injuries then would Brisebois/Sautner be given a chance?
The concern would be if the kids weren't able to play when called up...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
I don't follow the leaves and have only seen a couple of games on TV and live this year, but unless he stops playing on the perimeter, he will always have a low shooting percentage...With a shooting % 5.3. Won't occur again probably in his career.

Re: Canucks Young Guns
A lovely story. When you add up the contracts of Eriksson, Sutter, Gudbranson, Beagle, Spooner, Pearson of dead cap space that could probably be replaced with 8-10 million worth of players . Leaving Elmer with 15 million to spend on a good player or two. Not to mention the couple extra picks he cou...

Re: Canucks Young Guns
He made no sense at that price point on this team where it’s at in its rebuild. They need to improve the defence and the overall talent level and speed. He does none of that Why are you worried about the contract at this point in the teams evolution? Rather than looking at the glass half empty, I s...

Re: Canucks Young Guns
Guds was a deterrent. He could well have been more of one but either he was reluctant to be or had a collar. When the trade came down, my first impression was a sinking feeling and an Ah Fuck, Why? For what?......... Still is. His mobility was in question and he seemed confused on his defensive pos...
