Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26

Rossi holding his team hostage is big flashing red warning light but his size isn't as relative as Bill Guerin thinks (much like QH43 has the wheels and smarts to dangle around the larger pylon types) The kid is a dynamic player who would be a pretty solid add but for me not at the cost of ...

It was through media pressure and then victims groups that the Crown finally laid charges. All along the Crown has said that they did not think they had sufficient evidence to get a conviction. The investigating police force also felt shows not credible and had not recommended charges. Comment from ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Part of the problem with trading Joshua is that we are weaker without him, contributing to the need to make a big trade. But, moving him didn't free up all that much cap. Certainly not enough to afford the center Blob et. al. are hoping for. Instead, we have to trade Chytil as well, -plus- the ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Proper load management is the key. Lankinen was fine until he got overworked.
Once Demko's injury turned long-term and Silovs lost Tocchet's trust the writing was on the wall.

The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenceman Pierre-Olivier Joseph to a one-year contract worth $775,000.
Why? I thought they were good on D.
Hope it doesn't cause a log jam.

Re: 2025 Canucks Off-season

perfect season for me looks something like this: 1. Petey's back to being the alien we all fell in love with before whatever took possession over his body & mind. 2. Demmer puts his health issues behind him and returns to optimal form for the entire season. 3. A couple of the young guys on D (D ...

This has been the best draft/free agency for this club since we drafted the twins.
Some good picks and no stupid contracts (so far).

Tocchet loves him.
Good to see, I always felt he was sometimes overly criticized here.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

The reason he was overworked was not only because of the 51 games played, it was because it was too many games in a row. Demko being injured, Lankinen not playing that many games in a season before, and Tocchet not trusting Silovs led to the situation. Whoever the goalies are, they need to balance ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Time to either carry 3 goalies or sell high on Demko.
He might be top 3 when he's on form, but how often did we see that last season? 1 or 2 games?
He was either injured or shaking the rust off.
Lankinen ended up getting overworked because of it.
