Re: Roberto Luongo regrets comments
Roberto did not win one game for us. He was literally flawless in two of the seven games. Luongo was the first star in all three of our wins as far as I'm concerned. Sadly, very few people will remember that cause he didn't steal a fourth win. I live in Edmonton, the media bias out here was really ...

Re: Torres to Phoenix
I believe Oreskovich can fill into Torres' role for a cheaper price. Assuming we can get him under contract, Oreskovich is tough, will be able to make some big hits, and with more ice time, I believe he will chip in some offence. There will be bargains out there as time rolls along. MG found Torres ...

Re: More Hate from the east.
The hate is a joke. Living in Edmonton, I have been hearing it from the radio talk show hosts and some newspaper stuff, and way, way, too much at work. For some reason, every single dirty thing the Canucks do gets plastered all over the media everywhere, meanwhile, about 95% of the dirty stuff that ...

Re: Fix is in! Again!
I normally don't like talking about officiating in a loss but the officials were a joke in this game. They call us for a 5 on 3 and they missed at least 5 penalties on the Hawks in this game. Ah well. If we play like this in Game 7, we will win.

Re: Henrik on pace for tomorrow as of last night!
I was one of the doubters. It was a long, long, road for these guys to become a true blue first line but I believe they finally made that final step late last season and are continuing to do it.

Re: Burke offered contract to Steve Moore
Danson's assessment of Steve Moore's talent.... or should we all say lack thereof, is downright hilarious. First and second liner? He would have fit right in with the headhunters on the Ducks. Can you imagine Rob Niedermayer, Moore, and Chris Pronger on the ice at the same time? As far as I kn...

Re: No Sundin this season
I would love to have him at a reasonable price. But only at the beginning of the season. I wonder if he'll have the desire to handle the monster road trip we are going on.

Re: Bernier sheds the pounds.
I think that Bernier can score 30 goals. Remember that power forwards are usually late bloomers. The Sabres could rue the day they traded him.

Re: Bertuzzi to the Wings. 1yr- $1.5
Bertuzzi was playing nowhere near as well as he did the season he punched Steve Moore as he did the season before. Everyone points to the Steve Moore hit and Bertuzzi's suckering as the turning point for this team but you could see that the wheels were beginning to fall off before it happened. They ...

Re: Phoenix: Not good, all bad, most ugly
In any event if Balsillie is "untrustworthy" as alleged by the owners, it may be he'll fit right in with some of the group. LOL, once again you read my mind Arbour. Anyone who is condemning Balsillie for his actions and not following the "rules" on how to move Phoenix is holding Balsillie to a doub...

Re: Burrows being questioned by Montreal polic
How can you cross check someone hard enough to knock two teeth out when he's wearing a proper goalie mask? It sounds like baloney to me.
Wonder if he goalie is lucky to be alive?Cornuck wrote:Steve Moore's playing goal in a ball hockey league now?

Re: Wellwood files for Arbitration
Wellwood is not without talent and as the season wore on last year, and into the playoffs, he seemed to realize that some effort was expected of him. He sees the ice very well and with a little more commitment to consistency and regular line mates Wellwood could turn out to be a decent player for t...

Like most people, these rich NHLers usually know almost nothing about money management. They are easy prey and it shows.

Re: Wellwood files for Arbitration
What's up with all the hate towards Wellwood? He was one of our best players against the Hawks when our so called better players like Kesler and Burrows disappeared. I was as skeptical as anyone when Wellwood was pencilled in for the third line centre role last season. Overall, he was strong defensi...

Don't forget that radio tends to stage a lot of publicity stunts. That was my first instinct when I read this thread.
