Re: Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond 2025/26
The playoffs are starting in Sweden. For Björklöven, who are in the second tier league, this is the greatest shot at getting promoted to the big league in a very long time. We won the regular season in 2019/20, setting a new all time points record, but then the relegation games got cancelled because ...

Re: Just Not ready
I'd ask you, why aren't we supporting a regime change in Israel? Just the fact that Netanyahu is still in power there, shows how backwards the thinking is here. He has done WAY more damage to another group of people than any Islamic or Sikh terrorist has. I'd add that Netanyahu may be one of the ...

Re: Just Not ready
With the caveat that I'm not that well read up on Canadian politics, from an outside view it would certainly seem that within the liberal spectrum (which is quite wide) Trudeau is more left wing and Carney more right wing.

Re: We're All Doomed!™ (the Conquest, War, Famine, and Death Thread)
Why aren't we planting trees like there's no tomorrow? I thought we are... ? :? Heck, I've personally planted tens of thousands of trees. Mainly spruce and pine, but the occassional pear, plum, cherry, apple and oak tree. Even two peach trees. The first one died during an exceptionally cold winter ...

I recommend getting the app ChargeFinder. It's also available online: https://chargefinder.com/en/charging-station-hope-hope-bc-old-hope-princeton-way-supercharger/mgnnpd It colour codes for the charging speed, so you basically just want the purple ones, unless you're staying the night and prefer a ...

I support this. Bring the cup back to Canada!Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 10:50 pm Any Canadian team.
All this hatred hasnt worked out so well for us now has it?
Lord Stanley explicitly said the cup should be awarded to the best team in the dominion.
I don't think the US teams qualify.

Wait, Toyota made a vehicle and called it a Picnic? lever, I think I found your next ride. https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/car-reviews/toyota/picnic/picnic-1997-2001/ A small van. Available with six (2+2+2) or seven (2+3+2) seats. We had a six-seater. The seats in the third row were easily ...

Re: My Truck...
Per most Japanese made gas vehicles last a helluva lot longer than 12-15 years (unless you get suckered into buying American or euro made junk). Battery powered vehicles are clearly the future but until they solve the charging and range issues in vast countries like Canada it's Hybrids for now Yeah ...

Re: My Truck...
The main benefit of an EV though is how cheap it is to drive! My eldest daughter lives 360 km away. In the summer I get roughly 400-420 km out of my battery, so no need to stop to recharge. I charge at home, then use their charger before heading back. I'll use rough estimate Canadian prices, but ...

Re: My Truck...
Works in small countries that have developed power infrastructure. If you have electricity where you live it shouldn't be a problem. Just install a charger at your farm. If you drive more than 400 km on a daily basis I can see it may be a problem if there are no other charging opportunities ...

Love the VW bus, classic, has a 1972 bay window but that just got too rusty to restore. So stuck to the bug and got that done finally! Would still love a 67 or earlier split window. The concept was great, I may have misrepresented my viewpoint, it’s just being all electric that was the fail! The d ...

Well, in their defence, they're getting a bit old.
I saw them live two years ago. Gillan, Paice and Glover are still part of the lineup.

In honour of Country Joe, here's a more recent political song that's sort of in his style.
