Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Kravtsov set to sign a 3 year deal back in the KHL. This was apparently a mutual decision to terminate his contract. When he signed with the Canucks it was agreed that if he did not make the NHL the Canucks would terminate to allow him to return to Russia. He was given plenty of opportunity in ...

That's because his dog loved the Sea Wall.

Look how that turned out.
Ohhh, too soon?

But seriously the leaves offer was between 8.5-9 for 7 years. he left money on the table for sure to stay in Vancouver. And he can always buy another dog no?

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

I think it was a low risk move to see if the kid could play in the NHL after a pretty good return to the KHL. At least it wasn't a 5x5 type of deal. I also think he agreed to return on the promise that if he didn't make the Canucks they would try to trade him to another team to give him a shot, or ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Kravtsov placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of a buyout. That reunion didn't last long.

Re: OTW-GDT: Canucks at Nashville - 5:30pm Nov 3, 25 - SNP

Can’t believe some people wanted the Canucks to let Boeser walk.    In fairness to those people, they were projecting a much higher cap hit at the time. True. I thought for sure he would get 8+ as a FA. I was very opposed to a new contract based upon those numbers. I was p ...

Horrible penalty call against Kane. Reputation shit right there.

4 for 4 on loser points. What a difference a season makes. 4 very important points thus far.

Good to get the win.

Gutsy win for sure. 3 extra loser points for us so far this season. That could be huge down the road. Lankinen was good. Our d was good. Hard to say how long we can keep this up.

The Canucks may regret not extending Sherwood last July when his camp approached them about an extension. He wanted to jump on the Boeser, Garland, Demko bandwagon. Canucks wanted to wait until after January.

Re: The Petey Predicament

That has become so painfully apparent. The one-two punch makes a big difference. It all goes back to us needing a top 6 centre to replace Miller. Cootes may be ready next season but he wont replace Miller, maybe Horvat in a couple of year, which would be nice.

Re: The Petey Predicament

The thing is with Petey is he used to shoot a lot more on the PP. Last season and this season he seems to hesitate unless that set up is absolutely perfect. Sometimes he gets the puck from Hughes and it isn't perfect and he just passes it off. He looks frustrated at times, well more so last year ...

Re: OTW-GDT: Canucks host Oilers Oct26/25 @ 7 PM PST SNP/SN1

The haul for Hughes may not be as big as everyone hopes. If Hughes wants to walk onto a contender then if he does not commit to an extension with the acquiring team they will not be as willing to unload a boatload for his services. They would be in the same position as the Canucks if there is no ...
