Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

The apathy for me is the biggest challenge. Once upon a time I was a die hard. Never missed a game, even bought the PPV way back when. I can barely watch a full game anymore. I PVR most games and then decide if I want to watch and when I do I fast forward a lot. A far cry from the WCE days when you ...

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26

The Cap circumvention also helped them tremendously. I thought they would fall off this year not being able to utilize that loop hole. But you have to hand it to them. When a high value player is available they make room. Stone, Eichel, Mariner come to mind. Even if they have to tamper they will get ...

Re: Who Do U Want to See as Next GM of the Nucks?

Aquaman was looking for another yes man. Maybe he has learned?? Like I said yesterday, it was the first time I have heard him utter rebuild, and he did so several times. Now does he believe it? Does he have the patience? Will he listen to the twins whereas in the past he has failed to listen to ...

So strange that he did that. They won! Imagine if they had lost that series.

Re: Drafting the Ruck twins - yea/nay?

The answer to me is simple. When pick 24 comes around if one of them is BPA then you pick him. If the other one falls to 33 and is BPA you pick him. I do not see them as game breakers that we should be going out of our way to draft. We need to improve our prospects pool and you do that by sticking ...

Re: Who Do U Want to See as Next GM of the Nucks?

Seems Rutherford has cleaned out his office and at the completion of the draft will make Vancouver is secondary home and return to the east for a more permanent home. So sticking close some of the time to make himself available. Perhaps this is just a nice way to fire the guy. Twins were asked who ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

I didn't read they were limiting spending. Just the opposite. They will spend what it takes and provide the new management team with whatever they feel they need in order to expedite the rebuild without going to fast or cutting corners. They emphasized several times that every decision moving ...

Rumours that the leaves asked Riley to waivers NMC. Blockbuster trade, Riley for Nurse straight up.

Re: Who Do U Want to See as Next GM of the Nucks?

A few things that I noted: Ownership must have said rebuild or full rebuild 10 times before he introduced the new crew. This is huge IMHO. All three said that ownership presented them with plan that they agreed with and they have full autonomy. Yes I know we have heard that before. Henrik went as ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

Guerin is quoted as stating that he gave TFG'S exactly what they asked for first kick at the can. It is also reported that the Red Wings offer was better but QH would not sign an extension thus the deal fell apart. We have no idea what compotent Management (like say Guerin for instance) could have ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

Starting in 28-29 his trade protection changes to a 15 team no trade list. So half the league will be available to us to trade him to. That gives us the next 3 drafts, including this one, to stock up on D. The good news is that we lost the draft lottery so we can always try again to draft 1OA ...

Re: Who Do U Want to See as Next GM of the Nucks?

Well hopefully they will make the official announcements in the next day or two. What are the titles and what exactly will each guy be responsible for? Time to turn the page and get this thing righted.

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

Ya I suspect SJS will select a Dman. I mean they could still use young players up front but their one big need is s a stud on the backend. Of course Toronto could use that too but they have much more need at all positions than does SJS. I think one of McKenna or Stenberg may fall to us, the question ...
