Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

He look great at camp and was one of the players that showed up ready to go. Then the injury. So unless you get a decent return I’d be tempted to let him have the season to start.

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Braeden Cootes has won the 2025-26 Brad Hornung Memorial Trophy for the WHL's most sportsmanlike player.

We absolutely have to trade him while his stock is high. The last thing we need is a Canadian pussy on the team.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

On Wednesday, the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation announced its roster for the 2026 IIHF Men’s World Championship. Among the players named to the team are forwards Nils Hoglander, Liam Ohgren, and Linus Karlsson. Tom Willander was also asked but declined, saying he wanted to start working on his off s ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Speaking of expiring assets I would like them to reunite the Celebrini brothers for a decent return.

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

JR has to give the appearance that he is doing his due diligence. If we have learned anything about these owners it is this. They always have a replacement in mind before they ax someone. I can almost be sure that the owners already have JR's replacement lined up. They will let him float in the wind ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

There is also the fact that on the day Hughes was traded he packed a full suitcase for the road trip. So he knew a deal was close. But he chose to have dinner with just a few guys after the deal was announced. I am thinking that he wasn't all that close to some of the guys either. It is a shame ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Whatever went on it had to be beyond the norm for it to escalate and deteriorate to where we are now. It was bad enough for Evander in Winnipeg. Have to think it had to be that level and beyond. But for it to suddenly seem to get better after the trade deadline is what confuses me. I just can't see ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

well Lekkerimaki isn longer waiver eligible so he stays or gets traded for a 4th  Cootes almost made the team last year so I guess they want to get him into the show. But that is assuming one of Blueger or Chyle don't come back I would think. As for our draft pick, anyone's guess, I guess.

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

With JR's comments about 3 rookies in the line up next season, Lekkerimaki, Cootes and whoever they draft this year you have to believe that McKenna is their target. At least a forward has to be their target. None of the Dmen are projected to be NHL ready. And do we really have room for another ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

Would like to take out minny pick to get Chicagos's 34th over. that would gives back to back picks and chance at picking the twins if front money is the GMs feel they play better together. Obviously we would want something else back. Next years lottery protected 1st? A good young player/prospect? Or ...
