Re: 2026 NHL Draft
Guerin is quoted as stating that he gave TFG'S exactly what they asked for first kick at the can. It is also reported that the Red Wings offer was better but QH would not sign an extension thus the deal fell apart. We have no idea what compotent Management (like say Guerin for instance) could have ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
Starting in 28-29 his trade protection changes to a 15 team no trade list. So half the league will be available to us to trade him to. That gives us the next 3 drafts, including this one, to stock up on D. The good news is that we lost the draft lottery so we can always try again to draft 1OA ...

Re: Who Do U Want to See as Next GM of the Nucks?
Well hopefully they will make the official announcements in the next day or two. What are the titles and what exactly will each guy be responsible for? Time to turn the page and get this thing righted.

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
Ya I suspect SJS will select a Dman. I mean they could still use young players up front but their one big need is s a stud on the backend. Of course Toronto could use that too but they have much more need at all positions than does SJS. I think one of McKenna or Stenberg may fall to us, the question ...

Re: The Petey Predicament
Fake news trade alert: "The proposal floating around had Toronto sending Matthew Knies, the 2026 first overall pick, and a second rounder to Vancouver for Pettersson and a fifth." The alert got Brad Marchand to bite and sound off on what a terrible trade that would be for the leaves. Apparently ...

I'm in favour of a clean house. But more so I'm in favour of allowing the new GM to decide if he wishes to clean house, who, if anyone, he wishes to retain. I mean that is the way it should be when you hire a new GM anyway.

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
Ya the more I think about it the more I want them to take one of the Dmen if Stenberg or McKenna don’t drop to us. Especially since a number of fans want us to sell high on Hronek at the right time. It would be nice to have another RD developing.

Re: Who Do U Want to See as Next GM of the Nucks?
RJ is already an AGM with Vancouver while holding down the GM job in Abbotsford. No reason why Gold couldn't promote him full time to AGM in Vancouver, get him ready to take over the GM spot when Gold is ready to take over POHO. But the word is that whoever they hire will have complete control on ...

Re: What We've Got (Looking Ahead With Current Contracts)
Nonsense. How over the top was the media and some of you posters over the other ex-Canucks? Cancers, quitters, mean girls... you want to talk about rhetoric? The whole team was dismantled over this one bad choice of a player. Coaches bailed, players bailed, management fired, top dog slinking his ...

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26
Ah, thanks, Cornuck. But we all know full NMC's are ever that. He can be moved and he'll be the one calling he shots. Can't see him doing it to go home tho. He will chase a Cup. Who k is maybe LA That would be a kick in the nuts for Oiler fans. :) First 99 then 97. If he really wants out they would ...

Re: The Petey Predicament
Not sure if he’s playing with an injury, or deep in the doghouse, but Mason McTavish has been playing 4th line minutes for months. Last night he was healthy scratched as the Ducks evened the series in Vegas. Is Petey for McT straight up doable? This is being bandied about on the internet today. The ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
Ya now that I am over the anger that TO got the 1AO I kinda like where we sit. Whoever gets overlooked at 1 and 2 will drop to us and it is looking like we should get a pretty good pick.
