We need centres and Malhotra is climbing the rankings as a 200' player.

Looks like Rossi has found some mojo with Boeser. And vice versa. Could be 2/3 of a decent line next year. I really feel bad for Lekkerimaki. This would be a great opportunity for him. And for us to see what we have. The more I see the more confused I get by whom we should select in the draft. We ...

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26

The German to miss the rest of the regular season. This could make for a good playoff push in the West.

TWR "On 23 July 2021, Eriksson was traded, along with Jay Beagle, Antoine Roussel, a 2021 first-round pick, a 2022 second-round pick and a 2023 seventh-round pick, to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Conor Garland." This single trade encapsulates our current owners. It ...

Re: Not so deep thoughts by donlever

You have to believe that Tocchet was not aligned with some of the decisions that management made and did not see a path forward. Miller was a team player. He could carry this team on his back. Pettersson, well we all see the problems just don't know why. I advocated long ago to keep Horvat and trade ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

No Canuck's justice but other teams seem to catch a Bettman break.

Honestly I thought it was a harsh penalty in the first place but ya, teams maybe set back a bit. I mean I figured not only would we get Minny's pick but the 32nd.

Re: Not so deep thoughts by donlever

Yeah...I'm somewhat surprised these players get chastised for operating to the best of their benefit within the system created by ownership, management and league power brokers. Do the players partake in CBA's, yeah sure, but let's be real about who holds the ultimate hammer. Players presented with ...

Re: So.... who is your 'Playoff' Team?

Ya I agree with Donny, some of the best playoff hockey comes out of the first round. And there is usually a few very good teams that get punted.

Hey will Edmonton make the playoffs?

Someone else has who has stepped up as a leader is Hronik. I have never seen so may press scrums given by him and they are coherent and engaging. Not his usual blustery self.

Re: Not so deep thoughts by donlever

Great post, Don. This franchise and some of its fanbase (some, not all) created all this toxicity and disloyalty, then acts like jilted, spurned lovers by spreading rumours and innuendo, then having the media and supporters continually amplifying the message to deflect from their own incompetence ...

Re: So.... who is your 'Playoff' Team?

He quit on the Canucks. He was part of the leadership group yet had no control in the dressing room. He is a self entitled prima donna American asshole. He is a top Man in this league and was fun to watch. His skill level is above elite. But he quit on the Canucks and wanted out. Yet he was part of ...

From the Daily Hive: "The trade deadline commenced last Friday, but don’t tell that to the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers. Both teams announced on Friday that they had made a deal, with the Oilers sending centre Jayden Grubbe to the Canucks in exchange for winger Josh Bloom. Trades can still t ...
