Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition

Maybe they need M Pettersson back for a run next year?

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Whatever went on it had to be beyond the norm for it to escalate and deteriorate to where we are now. It was bad enough for Evander in Winnipeg. Have to think it had to be that level and beyond. But for it to suddenly seem to get better after the trade deadline is what confuses me. I just can't see ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

well Lekkerimaki isn longer waiver eligible so he stays or gets traded for a 4th  Cootes almost made the team last year so I guess they want to get him into the show. But that is assuming one of Blueger or Chyle don't come back I would think. As for our draft pick, anyone's guess, I guess.

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

With JR's comments about 3 rookies in the line up next season, Lekkerimaki, Cootes and whoever they draft this year you have to believe that McKenna is their target. At least a forward has to be their target. None of the Dmen are projected to be NHL ready. And do we really have room for another ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

Would like to take out minny pick to get Chicagos's 34th over. that would gives back to back picks and chance at picking the twins if front money is the GMs feel they play better together. Obviously we would want something else back. Next years lottery protected 1st? A good young player/prospect? Or ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

You missed the part that since the TDD the locker room has been the best since JR got here. A real cultural shift since then and the future looks bright. We are all trying to figure out who they traded at the TDD that could account for this remarkable turn around in culture and attitude. I mean ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

Oh I think he owned it. I just don't think he actually gets it. My take listening to him talk about a new GM is that whoever it is he wants them to completely run the hockey side of things and leave him the hell alone. He said he will always have an open door but really wants someone to come in and ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

I believe him about Hughes. That has always been the scuttlebutt about him, wanting to go south. For sure the direction of the team didn't help but if his teammates knew he wanted to go and with all the other problems it could not have been a fun place. I am wondering who they traded at the TDD that ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

JR: Basically admits to tanking. Nice one Jim. Said he made the decision that the team wasn't going to make the playoffs and it was time for Vancouver to get lucky and have a high draft pick. Wonder how Gary feels about that one. Admits to trying to entice Hughes by signing his friends and it didn't ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Listening to the exit interviews you can't help getting excited for next season. I mean they are allaying the right things no? Demko confident with this latest major surgery he will get back to being himself and raring to go. All the vets saying how great the young guys are, the energy they bring ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

I am going to make some assumptions here. 1) JR has convinced ownership a rebuild is required. Past PoHo could not do that. If true, firing him could set us back. He may still be needed around here to manage up to ownership while the rebuild is ongoing. 2) JR has said, it is rumoured, that the new ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

In typical Geriatric fashion, we've known through the media for days, early reports came weeks ago, that Alvin would be gone at season's end. bruce, bo, jt, quinn ... the list goes on I was thinking that last night Tops. But this time it looks like it was Allvin who spilled the beans. First to ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

From the Daily Hive: "It appears Patrik Allvin’s time as general manager of the Vancouver Canucks has come to an end. “Patrik Allvin fired from Vancouver,” reads a headline from Aftonbladet, one of Sweden’s major newspapers. “On Thursday evening, local time in Canada, the owners agreed to relieve All ...
