Re: Ownership and Management

With Horvat, instead of Miller, we don’t have the 2023-24 season. A season in which they still didn't win anything of consequence. But it's impossible to say whether they would have gotten more for Miller, how much that player (or players) would have contributed, and whether EP40 would have been m ...

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26

You've now become a fan of Bo? He’s proved the me wrong, yes. Especially after the Miller/Pettersson debacle. Many mock the "adjustments", but changing one's mind in response to new information is the healthier attitude to take, by far. The narrative twisting is far more annoying than any a ...

Re: Ownership and Management

When the team is battling injuries to top players like now... There is a tendency to treat injuries like they are entirely a matter of bad luck, and sure, there is certainly a random component. But at the NHL level, durability (or situational awareness, or both) is part of the athletic skill set ...

Re: Ownership and Management

Miller was showing himself to be the same player, but 20 points more productive, and actually capable of carrying his line and driving play. When the mood took him. Also minus the general overall class and professionalism On a team with, I don't know, maybe stronger leadership coming from somewhere ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Allvin needs to start to process of restocking. To supplement weaker organizational forward depth we could deal from a position of strength (D and goaltending) as well should the need arise moving forward...... This isn't a terrible position to be in, or at least, it's certainly better than the ...

Re: Ownership and Management

Franco has been having a tough time bumping Terry Pegula out of the 32nd hole in ownership rankings, but hope springs eternal. Another bad season and some improvement in Buffalo could finally do it for him this year. I take some reassurance from the idea that others around the League see it, too ...

Re: Ownership and Management

If you can secure top end 3-4 building blocks out of the trade then you have to pull the trigger. Hate to say it but this group will never become what is needed to win a championship. Might as well move out the assets to facilitate the rebirth. +1 Yes, but But there is a pattern.....it is with ...

Re: The Petey Predicament

So the question seems more likely has EP been working on his skating development through his career with his preferred "outside" skating coach as opposed to do the Canucks have a skating coach who manages efforts to improve on his shortcomings. Because they do. His name is Jason Krog. I'm afraid I ...

Re: The Petey Predicament

I would think the Canucks have had him working with a skating coach, maybe this is just him now? The problem with that theory is that his skating looks worse. Hate to think that a bunch of old timers on a hockey board can see something that coaches and management can’t. There's seeing it, and there' ...

None of

Could you please elaborate?

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

I think it was a low risk... He wouldn't stay a full season and stay in the AHL... Too bad really. Abbey is hurting right now... Yeah its amazing how I got dogpiled on for bitching when we traded legit high picks and high end prospects for scrubs between 2014 and 2021. Now people are enraged about ...

Re: The Petey Predicament

On his skating, there was a bit more pace with the puck, but you have to love the fact that after Boeser scored EP40 skates towards #6 to celebrate and EP40 trips on nothing at all..... Whatever his physical limitations as an NHL player, EP is clearly a gifted athlete in the kinaesthetics sense ...
