2027 NHL Draft

Post by Aaronp18 »

The 2026 Draft is right around the corner it is obviously very important to our rebuild but may be time to look forward to the 2027 Draft as well as it may arguably be more important based on the talent available.

DuPont seem to be the clear prize but there are an absolute plethora of high end Centres projected as available in the first round as well. This is also why taking wingers and D in 2026 may not be a bad option.

6'5" 200lbs Alexis Joseph (turns 17 this June) is an intriguing option should we inevitably lose the lotto again!

Heading to the WHL vs OHL matchup this evening at the Memorial Cup to check out DuPont in what may well be a preview of the Memorial Cup final. Check it out on TSN folks, could be our first overall next season!

Fixed for accuracy.

Also, I do like the idea of a Jumbo sized 1C (if he can play at a 1C level).

Seems he is definitely turning some heads…..

I'm loving this draft... just for some of the names :D

Milan Sundstrom (Sundstrom and Tanti were my favorite players growing up)
Brock F'n England!
Dima Zhilkin (The Shill is Russian Canadian?)
Neuenschwander (C'mon!)
Brock Cripps (Watch out Bloods)
Who's the BOSSE Meijer
Boston Tait (Bruins draft pick, guaranteed)

We're winning the Dupont lottery. Mark my words.

Joseph is intriguing, but there hasn't been a single good Joseph in the NHL other than Curtis.

Yes, I agree. No need to fix the C position at this draft when 27 has plenty of high end options... so it seems. No to reaching for Manny's kid.

TNFGs will become lifetime heroes for their 26-27 drafting... or prolong the same ol' Canuck Way for another decade plus.

Wow - 6 centres in the top 10. Hopefully the Flames land one of them.

Brock Cripps (Watch out Bloods)
Cripps will be a very good second fiddle RSD in next years draft, he was on the very strong PA team playing behind Daxon Rudolph this year and will likely be moved next year to a contender as they restock the picks they moved to compete this season.

Really mobile and offensive minded dman but also strong in his own end. Not DuPont dynamic but top pairing projection isn't out of the question.

Yeah the centre depth is super intriguing. Really makes me hope the Canucks can grab 2 top 10 picks for next years draft somehow!

Trading EP40 for an unprotected 1st should do it. Fancystats has him dragging any team down 5-10 spots overall. :D :D

Shhh, we need to use codes for these scenarios.

Yep - that was here. Brian wasn't impressed. From that point on, we've used the word "allegedly" more often ;)

That’s very impressive modding considering the old place had a lot more reprobates… allegedly.

The most fun was during Rivals when the Flame Oil and Leave fans would show up.
