I see a lot of outrage over USAID's demise, but to be honest even if there's nothing scandalous involved, most of it is freebies to foreign nations and peoples so it's probably the least popular government agency. Not a hill the Dems should be dying on. They are bigger battles and they're just falling into a trap.

Do the Dems have more of an interest in preserving certain CIA capabilities or operations than Trump? Even if so, the optics of fighting for USAID is a loser.
