Electing an imbecile for POTUS is a clear sign of a dying and dead empire. He’s certifiable crazy.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 10:53 pm Some believe that applying tariffs is the perogative of the US congress and that Canada and Mexico would likely challenge this in US courts and quite possibly win.
China responds with heavy tariffs on US goods.

I do not trust Donald Trump, but I do have faith in him.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 10:53 pm Some believe that applying tariffs is the perogative of the US congress and that Canada and Mexico would likely challenge this in US courts and quite possibly win.

Yeah that would definitely be concerning. Good point. I think the bloodbath is probably going to spill over into the courts in some instances, and I think Trump expects and is prepared for it.Per wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 1:55 amExcept for the concern for sensitive personal information, there is also concern that Musk's minions may be accessing federal contracts with companies in the car, tech and space industry that are competitors to Musk, and that these contracts may contain classified information about those companies.
I'm sure a lot of the data 'acquired' is already downloaded and off-site. It's a data breach, clear and simple, but unauthorized users.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 11:09 am Yeah that would definitely be concerning. Good point. I was thinking more about his supposed presidential perogative to fire government employees and even to shut down agencies like US AID. I have read speculation as to what his legal strategy might be for those legal challenges to come. Yeah the chaos hellstorm is very disorienting to me. I can hardly imagine four years like this.Cornuck wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 11:16 amI'm sure a lot of the data 'acquired' is already downloaded and off-site. As for trump being prepared? I'm guessing neither he nor his cabinet really understand or care what is happening. As long as there's chaos, he's happy. The new distraction of taking over Gaza helps hide musk's interference. When his AG is a low level judge who trump bribed* to drop the case into his 'university', you know he's not 'prepared'.
Yes, the coming years will be a shitshow do doubt. For the most part, I've already given up. Watching the media try to 'catch its tail' by following every distraction is a joke. My only hope is that at end of this, he hasn't dragged Canada down with him.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 11:24 am Yeah the chaos hellstorm is very disorienting to me. Just making it up as they go along. The United States Postal Service announced Tuesday night that it is temporarily suspending accepting packages sent from China and Hong Kong until further notice.
The suspension is effective immediately, the USPS said. Letters and flats are not included in the suspension, it said.
The postal service did not provide a reason for the suspension or say how long it expects the suspension to last.
So the same team that blows up rockets will be in charge of passenger safety?Elon Musk and the U.S. Department of Transportation will "remake" U.S. airspace, Transportation secretary Sean Duffy said at an event on Wednesday.
