Well being that the earth is estimated to be 4.54 billion years old, plus or minus about 50 million years. The spear could definitely pre-date the glacier. Fossils and DNA suggest people looking like us, anatomically modern Homo sapiens, evolved around 300,000 years ago. Surprisingly, archaeology – tools, artefacts, cave art – suggest that complex technology and cultures, “behavioural modernity”, evolved more recently: 50,000-65,000 years ago.

Therefore the timeframe in reference would suggest that climate change has been a much more ongoing and rapid thing (both warming and cooling) than the millions of years ago crowd suggest.

There is plenty of archaeological evidence of the great flood. All the ancient religions refer to it as well.

Ummmm.....if the spear was made during the bronze age, which as you just stated came AFTER the Great Flood, how did the flood have any impact on the spear's location?

Yeah, it wasn’t there before the last ice age.
People have been dropping and losing stuff on top of it, and then those things have been covered with new snow. But as the glaciers melt all the stuff that has been accumulated in them over the millennia comes out. That’s also have Ötzi, the ice man, who lived in the late neolithic, was found.
Btw, if you wonder why bronze and iron age people were running around on top of a glacier; reindeer often frequent the glaciers in summer to get away from mosquitos and gnats, so it’s a got spot to hunt reindeer. Which probably also explains why arrows and spears are the most commonly found artifacts. Hey Per, the positives with glaciers melting is maybe these major religious artifacts will be discovered instead of just spears and wooly mammoth skeletons

Well, in Scandinavia there are no artifacts from before the last ice age, because the 2 km thick ice sheet effectively ground everything into specks of sand or dust. Thus there is no evidence of anyone living in Scandinavia prior to the ice age, but given that there were neanderthals in northern Germany, we’re pretty sure they must have been here too. But anything that was under the ice sheet is gone. The artifacts they find at the glaciers is stuff that was dropped on top of them. Anything that was there before the glaciers is gone.
Also, hominins prior to Lucy only lived in Africa. The first hominins to spread into Europe was homo erectus.

Well, I suppose you could find some in the Elburz and Zagros mountains of Iran, which I guess might qualify as the Middle East, but I don’t think any biblical events of importance occurred right there.
