Agree.....time difference is gonna suck though.
I believe Canada's first game is Czechia Feb 12 @ 0740 which would be 1140 PM for you.
Aw man I forgot about that... really harshes the buzz I once enjoyed mere seconds ago

Just looked at the schedule and the teams they are playing against.
Poor France and Swiss, hopefully they use the Mercy rule, Czechia still should be an easy win as well.

Seven players on the Swedish roster are currently injured.
Sounds like Leo Carlsson won't be able to make it back in time. Not sure about the others.
Guess the final roster of Sweden may look different from the one they've presented.

I was actually coming to this forum to ask Per how you feel about Sweden's chances in light of Carlsson's injury?
They looked more formidable with his emergence this year but he's a pretty critical injury in a position of weakness. The way things were trending, he seemed to be the clear #1C heading into this. Sweden has some solid centres but no elite ones. As maligned as he is, is EP40 now the 1C on this team? Lindholm is solid but can't image him being a #1. I don't think you can trust Zibanejad anymore. Am I missing someone obvious?
Otherwise the team looks pretty solid. I could see them winning this thing albeit a big underdog compared to the US and Canada.

Eriksson Ek.
Thanks. Eriksson Ek as the potential 1C is pretty damning of centre ice depth (don't get me wrong he's a solid player but a solid 2C).
It's a shame for Sweden with how many injuries they have accumulated. Was listening to Halford & Brough interview with Uffe Bodin and I had forgotten how badly injured they were in the 2014 Olympics. Pretty tough luck!

Does this mean Swedish players more frail than other countries?

Agreed....you asked if you missed anyone and I named him is all.

Totally - thanks for flagging the obvious miss on my side. It's just crazy thinking how weak their depth at centre is. It was always going to be their Achilles heal but losing Carlsson is too much.

As a Canucks fan I hope team Sweden selects Zibinejad over Pouttersson. If a potential trading partner seeing those knobby knees knocking together there won't be any trades
