"In 1997, Gillis successfully sued former National Hockey League Players' Association executive director Alan Eagleson for $570,000 for stealing a portion of his disability insurance."
also,
He was an agent for many high profile NHL players, including Bure.
Other GMs were hesitant to do business with MG.
Did get better over time.
Then him and Gillman had to act like lawyers again and find a

in the NHL rules to do what they did with Luongo.
Isn't it strange how if he ends up in Seattle, that will be very close to when the Canucks may face a cap nightmare.
Now, that's the time for the current ownership to stand up with their own lawyers and say;
We have found a problem with the legality of the recapture penalty to us and hence will be disregarding it. Got a f>>>ing problem with that?

Larry Brooks reports today that the coil and chia were this close to trading the 2016 4th OA for McDonaugh. When it fell through they did the Larsson for Hall trade a week later.
LOL!

In hindsight that would have been a way better deal for Edmonton.

Chuck Fletcher basically said everyone is available in a trade except Claude Giroux. I have a feeling Carter Hart is untouchable, too. #Flyers

Fletcher said Weise did not request a trade. It was GM's determination that he is not part of plan moving forward. Hoping to find a trade deal. If not, Weise will play for Phantoms. Gave Weise time off early ahead of bye week in recognition of the work Weise put in this season.

Not a center, but more productive this year then Sutter.
No, we don't need him. Just an observation.

I highly doubt Konecny, Patrick, Myers, Provorov, Hart, Farabee, Morin, Frost etc are available as well
Most likely - Simmonds, Voracek, Ghostisbierre, Couturier etc
