Not gonna lie, I had to check the rookie standings this morning too!micky107 wrote:http://www.espn.com/nhl/statistics/play ... on/rookies
I missed the game last night, and was actually choked about missing it - probably the first time in 2 years that's happened.
Now I wish I had PVRed it.
I am amazed at how far this team has come in being more watchable, and a lot of that credit goes to Brock. I don't want to miss what he's going to do next.
Re: Canucks Young Guns
The +/- in those stats says BB may well be a better all round player. Not to mention fewer games.
I'm hoping we see something similar in Gaudette.

Re: Canucks Young Guns
I’d take neither at this point. Both are grossly overpaid bottom pairing d men. Garrison was a better player here and his trade value reflected that. One guy went for a 2nd ...... refresh my memory, what did Elmer get for Sbisa ?RoyalDude wrote:Bubbles "still" takes Garrison over Sbisa

Stalwart Luca Sbisa has the second highest ATOI for the Au Nights

Re: Canucks Young Guns
Gaunce was a 2012 draft pick.He and Sbisa were both exposed in the expansion draft. He wasn’t acquired for Sbisa. Sbisa was never in the top 4 in ice time on a scabby Vancouver team. Good for him he is getting big minutes on an expansion team that is currently playing well. I don’t expect that to continue. Who would he bump out of the top 6 in Vancouver ?

Garrison vs. Sbisa:
Garrison had 49 pts (15G) and was +13 in 128 GP for Vancouver playing 21 mins/game and was turned into a 2nd round pick.
Sbisa had 32 pts (7G) and was -4 in 199 GP, playing 18 mins/night and was given away for nothing.
lol it's okay to crawl out of Jimbo's ass for air once in a while.

Re: Canucks Young Guns
Didn't we lose Sbisa in the expansion draft?? As in EVERY team lost someone for nothing?Island Nucklehead wrote:Topper wrote: Stalwart Luca Sbisa has the second highest ATOI for the Au Nightsnot sure what the point is here. Are you saying Benning is a moron for exposing him?

(Not getting in the middle, just curious how they can be compared)

Re: Canucks Young Guns
The point is Garrison returned a 2nd rounder and played better as a Canuck. Sbisa was a tire fire in Vancouver for three seasons and they couldn’t even get a 7th for him. Either way they are both fine on a bottom pairing making 700k - 1.5 million. Both of them have bad contracts. A dozen good games for Sbisa doesn’t erase how poorly he has played for most of his career.

That defence looks capable of dolling out some punishment.
STALWART
Such a stalwart they can't give him away for a 7th.
