You're hilarious. You spew all this shit and in the mean time you are looking to abandon the country for Italy of all places. The hypocrisy is not lost on the rest of us.
That plan is off the table for now.

You can still draw full CPP and OAS while residing in another country. They'll even deposit into your foreign account in the local currency where you have taken up residence

I'm out at 65 too.

I believe I told the story of a Canadian couple in Belize forced to move back to Canada when our peso hit 0.66 US in the mid 90's. Their fixed retirement income, supplemented by an office building they owned in a rural BC community wasn't enough for them to live on.

Canada's economy is 1/10 of the US economy.

Trudeau is willing to dollar for dollar match US tariffs and will compensate Canadian business for losses due to tariffs. The US will look to other suppliers of what are traditional Canadian imports. Will they switch back later or is the market lost?

This is a losing battle for Canada that will be very costly. How high is Trudeau willing to push the debt?

Years of neglecting Canada's resources and security is coming home to roost.

Just in taxes or are there other revenue sharing models?
Reef, this just popped on X, shows where the increased BC deficit numbers come from. Natural Resource revenue and corporate taxes. Vancouver is a hub of mining and forestry companies. Combine that with all the consulting (including legal and accounting) and service companies associated with them.

Well, I guess I should be happy that he has changed his stance, but how long is it going to take to get to where there is a pipeline built and oil is being shipped to the west coast for foreign markets? I suspect Trump will be long gone before it is operational.

It is like Blobby Brown admitting he should have been a better father figure...15 years too late.
