Other Sports....non hockey

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Got to give a shout out to another big man, 3x MVP Jokic. Basketball IQ off the charts.

Yep..we have also discussed him here previously.

Greatest "non athletic" player I have ever even seen other than Larry Bird maybe...

I ranked Bird as the greatest NBA player ever (yes, better than Jordan).

Nash was my favourite to watch. Same trajectory as the Sedins, very little athleticism but eventually mastered his unique blend of IQ and skills to dominate offensively.

But technically, SGA is already the greatest Canadian NBA player ever.. at 27. That's crazy and unbelievable, tbh.

Curious. Would be interested to read your defense of that position.

Jordan puts Bird in his top 5 of all time and to this day says if it was between Bird and Curry as his shooter in a must win game he'd take Bird.

Not sure how much Socialz or Pod shit y'all see but Larry Bird is highly renowned and well discussed as perhaps THE greatest trash talker of all time.

As an aside....another great White Boy to watch play was Jason Williams.

Took street ball to the NBA.

Hands of a wizard.

I have Stockton above Nash.

I can see Bird up there but top five is awfully lofty and crowed. Bill Russell is my #1, Jordan #2, after that, in any order you choose, Alcindor, Wilt, Robison, Duncan, Kobe, Bird and the list goes on.

Bird telling opponents exactly what the play was and then going out and executing it is cold. It is odd the way history hasn't been so kind to Magic appreciation as it has been to Larry, maybe his reputation could use some aid.

Not a big SGA fan, skilled yes, but the foul baiting is a huge minus. Similar for Luka's whining. Jokic is a beast

Yeah, I wasn’t questioning Bird’s talent. The dude is a legend. I just can’t think of a single player I’m giving the ball to over Jordan when it’s make or break.

Fully agree on Williams. His no-look passing was on a level with Magic…..but with more flash.
