And Marcus Pettersson turns 30 in May. He’s this groups Loui Eriksson. Got 5 more years to look forward of this. Interesting with how they now want to get younger. This management group is all over the place, they don’t know which way’s up or down, but old man Tallon will save the day.

It's like Halloween around here with contract goodies.
But instead of kids in costumes it's teenagers in jean jackets ringing the door at 9pm

Karlsson on the top line has added a bit of a temporary bump.
Karlsson reminds me of a Swedish Alex Burrows around the net and opportunistically cutting up ice for a breakaway. Also hustles back.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

There's a lot of Burrows in Karlsson, in style, career trajectory, and just dogged determination. That's a very astute observation @Mëds.

I have been concerned with Dpetey. Last night was somewhat better but all year he just hasn't been good at all.

And what's the deal with Mancini? In a throw away season such as this it's time to fill the roster with up and comers. He can fuck up all he likes in a tank year...what's the deal?

Marcus Pettersson is a solid second pairing D man making second pair money. Odd guy to complain about. D Petey is still a boy yet and another odd guy to bitch about. Not having Forbort around all year, Demko down for five weeks and Blueger playing two games pulverizes the PK. Myers is playing a few too many minutes.

D-Pete is fine, really not sure why there are complaints about him. Growing pains for D-men, not an easy trade to learn

Do you think he has a taste for chewing on fingers too?

Remains to be seen I suppose.

D-Petey is doing that sophomore thing where a guy fails to live up to the expectations that he set by surprising everyone as an unknown commodity in your rookie year. It’s a combination of unrealistic expectations being set by fans and media, and the pressure he puts on himself to be better than last season.

Last year, fully agree. This year, I’m seeing a #4 guy on a bottom 5 team during his best game…..more of a #5 otherwise.

I recognize that everyone tends to look subpar when the rest of the team is also subpar, but M-Pete has committed more than his share of mistakes, and definitely more than I would expect from a veteran guy who has been touted as being something of an improbably more durable Swedish Tanev (my own paraphrase).
