I think that is definitely part of Chytil’s problem, situational awareness and having his head down at the wrong times. I guess those two are the same. Probably doesn’t have great peripheral vision.

In this case, peripheral was never helping. Wilson came from left and behind in anticipation of Chytil turning to the middle with the puck. Head on a swivel and DON'T WATCH YOUR PASS, were the keys here. Situational awareness also includes knowing who you are playing against.....Wilson is a predator out there, so if you're playing the Caps, you just need to remember to be more aware.

This game, and last game, are encouraging in what we're seeing from EP40.

The team better start getting some puck control, they are totally getting dominated out there.
