Honestly there isnt much incentive for us to absorb that aweful contract...even if they eat all of Loui's and retain 30% of seebs. The first coming back would have to be in play and i just cant see the cocks doing that.

Beside his god awful worst contract in the league, I believe Seabrook is still a great
depth dman, still
capable of winning a championship caliber type, that is if he
isn't getting top pairing minutes, he really needs a change of scenery and what better way than join a young hungry energetic squad.
You'd love him on your 3rd pairing that can slide up to second pairing on a pinch.
Perfect world the Hawks would retain 40% to 50% making his cap hit a more acceptable $4M AAV or $3.43M AAV.
I'm sure teams that have a lot of cap space are trying to get the Hawks 1st Unprotected, or Boqvist, or Kirby Dach to get Seabs.

Substitute tyramkin for Tanev and that’s a playoff caliber d group, that’s big and mean.

Tanev has been declining the last 2 years, he’s not as good as you think he is anymore, he’ll be a risky re-sign depending on term and dollar amount. I do agree about Seabrook, I change my stance on him he does suck.

Long term if the Russian comes back for sure he’s probably the better option. For this season at least though, Tanev is the better player. And as much as I like Tanev he can’t be counted on to stay healthy. I’m not sure I want to see him re-signed.

Folks this man hates Canadian hockey and BC hockey in particular with a passion. What happened to this man to fill him with such bitterness and rage? I have a feeling there was far more than a skullet tossing that went on in the past. Something darker, something that has turned the Chef into the seething ball of anger that we see today.
