Yeah, I think the beliefs are truly divergent. Both sides seem to think the other needs to be stopped at all costs. "Anything goes" is reasonable in certain circumstances, but I'm not sure that is the case now.

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, mocked actor George Clooney for waiting until three weeks after his star-studded fundraiser in which he raised millions of dollars for President Biden to acknowledge he's "a vegetable."

"George Clooney, what a f------ hero this guy is, huh? Comes forward today — now, this guy threw a fundraiser, raised tens of millions, co-chair for Biden, three weeks ago. Today comes out, he’s like, ‘Guess what? The guy you saw in the debate, that vegetable, that’s f------ Biden, he’s a vegetable. He was a vegetable three weeks ago.’ Acting like he’s doing some heroic thing."

Clooney called on Biden to leave the 2024 race in a New York Times guest essay on Wednesday, writing, "It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate."

Everything I read tells me that access to Biden was very tightly controlled by a few people.

A larger number than those who didn't. The debate made it clear to all that the coverup of his decline was in full swing The chaos and finger pointing on both sides has been entertaining but gets away from the fact that if Xi or Vlad call, Joe isn't involved in the discussion and may receive a briefing after he wakes up and has his soiled briefs changed.

The criticism of Clooney and others is a distraction. Yes those who have been willfully blind to Biden's decline deserve to be called out but focusing on the incoherent incontinent President is where the focus should be.

There are two schools bashing the Dems at the same time and possibly for different reasons.

There are those saying Biden is mentally incapable of performing the duties of the President now and /or until 2029 and needs to be removed from office or at least the ballot.

Then there are those saying that he was nominated by the Democrats rules and pushes to remove him are as undemocratic as the Dems say Trump will be.

There are also two schools asking for Biden to be replaced. Those saying his cognitive decline has gone too far and those saying he is too far behind in the polls, will lose the election dragging the Democratic Party down with him and the Dems will lose the House and the Senate.

One school is looking at Biden health, the other is looking at their own election hopes. One wants him out because he is a sad, sick old man, the other wants him out because he will lose the election.

I think it was Shapiro who noted Biden's makeup for his sit down with Stephanopolous and called out the chemo tan as "Orange Man Good". Then George was caught talking to a friend, probably not by accident on a TMZ mic, saying Biden can't serve out another term.

Where did the money Clooney raised go? If it went to the Biden-Harris campaign, that money is tied up and can only go to Harris - ? if Joe drops out. Clooney pushed for a mini primary leading into the convention and did not anoint Harris. There is an estimated $240M in the Biden-Harris campaign fund.

Look at Biden's coming sched, the campaign calls it a rigorous schedule, three events a week, rarely straying outside a single time zone each week, definitely never more than one time zone outside of that week's base. I guess that is further afield than campaigning from his basement that he did in 2020.

This afternoon he finally has a press conference, supposedly unscripted with open questions from reporters. Bizarrely the White House has been calling it a "Big Boy Press Conference."
