I’m not sure they need to gut it but you can’t pay 40 million to 4 guys. It won’t work long term. They just have to decide which guys to move out. I might consider moving Matthews at the draft for a top 2 pick +.

EVERYONE is chirping the whiny Leaves fans!

I loved the playoff format the SHL had for a couple of years where the teams finishing 1-4 got to choose their opponents from the teams finishing 5-8. I mean, OK, the teaam finishing fourth got whoever was left but still.

They sent the picking of opponents live, and it's kind of an insult if you've finished fifth and gets picked by the regular season winners...!

Some just picked the worst team, others picked rivalries or chose a team that fit them well. I think it added a dimension.

Unfortunately they've gone back to strict placement, 1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 7th, 3rd vs 6th and 4th vs 5th.

And they said the Leaves aren't tough!

I'm going to refrain from making any Freddie Mercury jokes. I'll leave that to Browned Gizzard or Topper.
