Here's how I work things for these trade ideals, I go hardcore for my ideal for a day or two and then leave it lol, as it becomes daunting and psychotic. Then I revisit the ideal down the road.ESQ wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 10:00 amAre you going to take my action that Miller will out-produce Benn this year? I'd extend that to over the next 5 years, Miller will have more points than Benn.SKYO wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 10:00 pmThat's why Zuckerberg is a billionaire and you're still cruising around on a rusty bike with spandex, you'll lose this one, move on.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 9:56 pm That’s why Buffet is a billionaire and you push shopping carts into cars. SKYO, you’re too attached to yesterday Benn, move on.
But Skyo let's just say you're right and Benn has value. I'd only consider taking him for a deal built around Loui and Baertschi, and with Dallas retaining. If you're right, what price are you willing to pay? Dallas is old, they repeatedly need youth and picks, especially if they pick up the tab on Loui. Are you willing to pay the price to get rid of Loui and add Benn?
As for Benn boy, trying to work the cap would be troublesome & I'd rather keep players like Juolevi and Gaudette who'd they probably want. And the more I think about it, we got some big fellas to work with in Miller/Pearson/Ferland.
Benn vs Miller could be close this year, but in the long run Benn will outscore JT, Millsy tops out around 50-55pts it seems, might have ONE career year going above 60, but Benn is capable of scoring elite, he's like a Rantanen in that regard, a big burly scorer who would be effective to have in the playoffs.
Cap aside man that would be a crazy line to watch though BENN - PETTERSSON - BOESER. It's just too out there, he might get dealt to a team with sufficient cap space where they can absorb his full cap while giving Dallas a 1st rounder, a top six player and a blue-chip prospect.
