This deal is notable in that it is the first 1 way UFA deal in 3 weeks (last one was Streit). And surely it signals an end to the Penguins' grip on the up.

Agreed. Perhaps he turns into a good NHLer but we need to target bigger players.

You mean the good summer with nice weather ? Nothing long about it, the eight months of rain is coming soon enough.

Sure it was a fun even through the haze of wildfires, but it didn't even feel like a blazing hot summer though sadly in Vancity.

Just saying my addiction of hockey got a bit of a fix with the kerfoot news.

Bennett signs two year, 1.95 per deal, with Flames. I think think this is a good bridge deal for the Flames. Bennett has two years to earn his big pay day, or not.

Treliving did a good job on that one managing expectations. I think it's more than fair for what he has produc d thus far. He still has the potential for more and now has two years to earn/prove it. Actually a good job by Treliving.

Yeah, it would have been satisfying to see the flames get a 4 million dollar boat anchor
