From SN

The Nashville Predators have re-signed forward Viktor Arvidsson to a seven-year contract worth $29.75 million.

Arvidsson was headed for arbitration after a breakout 2016-17 season, in which the Swede posted 31 goals and 60 points in 80 games.

The 24-year-old added three goals and 10 assists in 22 playoff games.

Nashville selected the winger in the fourth round, 112th overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft.

Works out to 4.25 per, for Skyo.

Is this a comparable for Bo?

Other than the term - Nah, Arvy is 5'9 buck80, he's a small skilled winger, he got lucky to play with Johansen and Forsberg as his uber all-star linemates.

Horvat brings more intangibles than Arvy, think between a Jonathan Drouin (6 years $5.5m aav), Gabriel Landeskog (7 years $5.57m aav) to the higher spectrum Aleksander Barkov (6 years $5.9aav money, Bo shouldn't get that Barkov cash though.

I'd say the Landeskog contract suits Bo Horvat best, both bigger, stronger/skilled players that are leaders, two-way types that are good for 50-60 points per year.

So I say a 7-year $5.53m aav is the sweet spot for a one Bo Horvat.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Starting to think he might just sign for one year. It's dangerous for both sides but there is so much "wait and see"
what's going to happen here, I can understand it from both sides.

Oduya signs in Ottawa.

1 Year, $1M.
The deal, announced Monday by the team, includes games-played, ice-time and playoff bonuses that could add another $1.25 million to the deal.

ROGUE 1 was the canucks rebellion squad figuring out Bettman's death star plan of vancouver not winning any draft lotto's, thus finding the kink in the NHL armour which is drafting sleeper picks, reaching a bit up front, & finding gems bettman hasn't gifted to other teams. :P :P

so for Rogue 1, does that mean some Canucks Alumni need to get NHL head office jobs (like the Bruins and the leaves??)

Mondi wrote:If we're going to use Star War metaphors, I don't see how 17-18 can be labeled "A New Hope". Is Elias Peterson or Brock Boeser supposed to be the successor to arguably the greatest talent in NHL history? Does one of them wield an uncommon skill set, which, with training, will equip him to challenge say Gretzky or Lemieux or even McDavid?

I'd say the current version of the Canucks are more like Ewoks than Jedi-in-training.
Mondi, we are talking Mark Hamil's "Luke Skywalker", not a real Jedi like Samuel M/F Jackson's "Mace Windu" or Gretzky/Yoda.

Mondi wrote:Mace was bad ass. But, he defeated the Emperor and then hesitated in finishing him off...you know the rest of the story. What this team needs is some real a-holes, like a young Han Solo or even a Boba Fett who don't hesitate when the going gets tough.

Just curious, if your talking bad asses, why is your avatar a pictured the only star fleet captain who both surrendered to his first officer (I know, I know, it was his french heritage!!) AND he cried?!?
Picard was the biggest pussy ever!! Like so much a pussy, his balls were made from other, softer pussies....

Jus curious.. :D

Gudbranson is Han Solo, has that arrogant prick vibe but a heart of gold for his mates.

Gadjovich - Chewbacca

Horvat is Luke Skyowalker

Sedins - Obi-Wan Kenobi, they about to sacrifice themselves for Horvat soon, for the greater good.

T. Green - Yoda

Pettersson - C3PO tall lanky, superior IQ.
Dahlen - R2D2 shorter with multiple skills

Chatfield - Lando Calrissian

Tanev is already a Jedi!
