Mëds wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 1:43 pm do you think keeping Myers as one of 3 “keeper” vets to mentor young players would be more valuable than the 2nd and 4th?
That's the question I've been mulling over (not that anyone asked). I'm still not sold either way.

The positive is that it opens a spot for a younger version of Myers to be signed as a UFA.
The counterpoint to that would be that retaining salary doesn’t totally open a spot for replacement. If you’re replacing him, then you’re paying even more for the same employee.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I wonder where the owners get rated?

U Dub on a bender

I'd drop these fucking guys down to at least 45th place for even contemplating drafting another Swede while the team is sucking in last place and their bald heads are already in the guillotine.

Unless they accurately see Stenberg as the second coming of Foppa (without the bad hooves) these clowns *fucking guys should be shot into an adjacent star (I feel like they’d fuck ours up and we sorta need it for heat and light and whatnot) for even considering another Swede.

I take him if he's the second coming of Foppa with the foot issues!!

He was an absolutely beast.

And I'll take his 2 Cups with him.

Meyers wouldn't be around long enough to be much of a mentor (1 yr) but it would be a good start. As others rightly noted, what are they replacing him with?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

You could extend him for $2M x 2 though…..there’s something to be said for established vets who are respected around the league and want to stay and mentor through a rebuild.

Jay Beagle.

Derek Dorsett.

If you need someone at the position, check in on Eric Weinrich.
