Is that true Meg’s?

It's going to be a goat rodeo once Trump imposes a 25% tariff on all Canadian goods going to the USA. It would be tough for Canada even with a strong leader in place. Without anyone, other than lame duck Trudeau at the helm, this country is fucked.Topper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 8:28 am Unless the Liberal Party changes its rules, anyone 14 and over with a Canadian address can vote for our next Prime Minister.
Word leaking out that Liberal House Leader Katrina Gould was using her Internet Fact Checking Act to spy on Conservatives.
Worst case scenario, Liberals go for a long leadership campaign, House returns at the end of March under Trudeau (he hasn't resigned, only announced his intention to do so) and passes a spending Bill (let Jaguar Meat write it) the prorogues Parliament again, new Leader is elected and has until late October to call an election. In the meantime, the country is in paralysis.

If the negotiating team of Joly, LeBlanc, Frankie Bubbles throw their hats in for the leadership race then they will be out as negotiators and there is a massive talent drop off from those folks.BCExpat wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 10:10 amIt's going to be a goat rodeo once Trump imposes a 25% tariff on all Canadian goods going to the USA.
