So the misogynist "Sedin Sisters" basher is suddenly a social justice warrior??
But ya this guy is much worse than a flaming hypocrite... he's a butcherer of the English language!

Agreed. I always get suspicious when someone is so nasty about gay. Perhaps you should take a look in the mirror bud. The post reeked with hate.
Not the place for that level of homophobia
Where is the place for that level of homophobia?

On the straight and narrow.

Send this note to CNN. They do sports a bit and God knows they love a good conspiracy, eh?

All it takes is a media outlet or another team to put some focus on what the Toronto Maple leaves are doing to put pressure on the NHL "government" to do something about it.
Finally, you can send regular players down for "conditioning stints", but they have to be on the current roster (not on IR) and have to agree to it (or request it). Here's the rules on it:
13.8 Conditioning Loan. Unless a Player consents, he shall not be Loaned on a Conditioning Loan to a minor league club. Such Conditioning Loan shall not extend for more than fourteen (14) consecutive days.
The Commissioner may take whatever steps he deems necessary to investigate the circumstances under which a Player is Loaned on a Conditioning Loan.
If the Commissioner has reason to believe or determines that the Club has used the Conditioning Loan to evade the Re-Entry Waivers, or otherwise Circumvent any provision of this Agreement, he may take such disciplinary action against the Club, as he deems appropriate.
The Player shall continue, during the period of such Conditioning Loan, to receive the same Paragraph 1 NHL Salary, and be entitled to the same benefits, that he would have received had he continued to play with the Club.

Corrado can refuse. Corrado can ask the NHLPA to investigate. Corrado wants to be a Leaf. Corrado will play along. After all he doesn't have to move or anything.

Yeah if Corrado just wants to collect a free pay cheque for nothing, I guess he's fine with that.
A true teamster.

Frankie sounded pretty frustrated. I'm actually surprised he hasn't grieved this bullshit. Its killing his market value for his next contract because he's not getting games and when he does make an appearance (this year its been once in 40 games) he's obviously not game-ready and he's not put in a position to succeed.
I don't know what the endgame is - maybe the Laffs are planning to trade away D at the deadline and then work Corrado back in? He was a big part of last year's tank, getting all of his games from mid-January on.

He can refuse the assignment. But ya he is frustrated. He was so pumped to be going to Toronto. He was a Lou pick up not a Babcock choice and Babcock is making it known. But Lou is stubborn. They could try and trade him for a 5-7 type of pick and get something for nothing. Love or hate BB he would always try to find a home for players, to the point of waiving them so they would get picked up.
Frankie should be waived. Good chance he clears but likely ends up in Arizona. I liked what I saw from him and had hopes he would be the third pairing RD for us. But we have grown past pinning hopes on him.
But we have the same issue in some sense with Pedan. He hasn't had a real chance to show what he can do in the NHL but unlike Frankie he cleared waivers at the start of the year so at least he gets to play everyday. We could be going through this now with Rodin.

Some would say Evil Lou is the opposite of BB in this regard.
Evil Lou screws the player every chance he gets... they say.
They say Leivo is getting the same treatment as Corrado.
Leivo was benched for all but one game, forced to play up a minor injury for the first 18 games.
(allegedly)
Holland, they say, received the same treatment (benched for 17 of 19 games before finally traded).
I hear Lupul and Robidas are guys who said they were good to go, teammates agreed, but
... for
some reason

...
the TO medical staff refused to clear them and they went home, never to be seen again.
But perhaps they were okay with their careers being ended a hair early... while still collecting full salary.
Horton used to talk about trying a comeback until he had a little chat with Lou (they say).
Michalek, Laich, and Greening were acquired with the intention of creating overpaid Marlie depth.
Or so the story goes.
Enroth was signed as a UFA only to start 4 games before being waived (goalies are seldom claimed)
... and then sent down 3 times, as though some say, to rub salt in the wound.
Folks speculate that perhaps Enroth forgot to shave one day or skipped a haircut appointment.
(Lou's grooming rules come before everything else apparently)
I'm not saying, I'm just saying... there must be reasons why they call him Evil Lou.

Ever see the movie “Horrible Bosses” and wonder where they came up with all their material? Probably from Lou Lamoriello as noted in a $2.25 million lawsuit filed in U.S. District court by former president of Devils Arena Entertainment, Richard Krezwick.
There’s a lot of legal mumbo jumbo and stuff, but here is the best part, by far, which is buried way low in the NJ.com story about this. Why? I don’t know because it’s incredible:
Several weeks after Krezwick learned he would be let go, several of his senior managers were fired by the Devils, the lawsuit says.
“Lamoriello physically positioned himself in a chair at the base of the employee elevator of the arena so that he could watch these individuals pass by with their boxes of personal belongings in order to leave the building directly after they were fired and to laugh as they passed by, as to take credit for their firing,” the lawsuit adds.
Allegedly, there are reasons Lamoriello was stripped of his GM-ship in NJ... in favour of Ray Shero
... and reasons NJ-legend Martin Brodeur turned down a front office job in NJ in favour of St. Louis.

And the reason we got Brendan Morrison was because Lou tried to blacklist him, trash talk about him, all because Mo played hardball, or tired to, in negotiations.
Remember Lou, the guy that said no rookie ever gets the max contract bonuses? Lou, the guy ownership had to step in on to get Matthews signed. Ya, Lou.
He was a great GM. Built some great teams around Marty and that great D. But I think his time has past.
I always respected BB because he would promise a player not playing that he would try to trade him and if he couldn't he would waive him. And he would. He can/is an asshole but he is player loyal.

The Jet's Laine absolutely rocked by a clean open ice hit, big time! OUT LIKE A LIGHT.
Welcome to the Bigs.

That was as good, as clean a textbook hit as you can get.
McCabe didn't run him. Just basically stopped, changed direction and stood Laine up. Hands down, no jumping motion. He was practically still, absorbing all of Laine's momentum.
It only looked worse because Laine was out before hitting the ice. Probably because they knocked heads on the hit.

Great hit. Matthews likely just won the Calder. Tuna rejoices.

That hit was amazing. Perfectly clean. McCabe has a massive dent in in his cheek.
