Politically, Donald Trump has "A CLEAN SLATE".
Hillary has a slate and if you took a bulldozer and worked it till it ran out of that nasty stuff we call fuel, you may find that slate, after removing all the soil, dirt, decomposing shredded paper, etc.
Well, Donald may have a clean slate
politically, but only because he's a total n00b in that field.
And because he doesn't know the first thing about these things he can come up with his hare brained ideas, such as:
- Building the wall. Do you have any ideas what the construction cost would be? And maintenance? And no, Mexico won't pay. Furthermore, the immigrants are the fuel of the American economy. Historically the countries that take in the most immigrants have blossomed. The very reason the US has been so successful as a nation is that the US has welcomed immigrants with open arms, when most other countries did not.
- Publicly state that he may not honour the NATO treaty, and fail to assist members attacked by Russia. Even if he harbours such deceitful thoughts, he should keep them to himself. The very uttering of these words weakens NATO. If Putin isn't certain that the US will honour its obligations, he might be willing to gamble and attack neighbouring NATO countries, such as Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania or Poland. Trump has not even been elected, but is already making the world a less safe place.
- Stating that he would renegotiate US debt, and hinting that he might be able to halve it. Seriously? This is what third world countries do. OK, I know, this is how Trump does business. He agrees on a contract, then when the work is done, he refuses to pay. Then he renogotiates and pays less than what was originally agreed. He is a con man by nature. Check it up. There are dozens of companies that he has run into the ground by not paying them what he owed them. And his multiple bankruptcies are part of this scheme of enriching himself while screwing every one else. Anyway, the major flaw in this idea of his, to renegotiate US debt, lies in that this would mean the US would lose its AAA rating and next time the US needs a loan, it's going to cost a lot more, if anyone is even willing to step up to the plate. Who will buy US bonds once Trump has made it clear that they are junk bonds?
In the business world it may work, he can always find new losers to con. Now that American banks won't lend him money, due to him screwing them over before, he has gotten into bed with the Russians. They still believe in him. So anyway, if you want a president that strives to make the US as credit worthy as Brazil or Greece, Trump's your man!
- The nukes. I mean, come on. When briefed on US security he asks "if we have nukes, why don't we use them?"
Sure, it's often stated thst there are no stupid questions, but fuck - that's a stupid question.
- Not allowing any Muslims into the USA. Right. And how are crucial US allies like the Saudis, Jordan and Turkey going to feel about this? Also, what happened to freedom of religion? And how are you going to check? Afaik passports don't mention religion. Well, back in Nazi Germany they would stamp the passports of Jews with a J, but apart from the nazis, I don't think anyone has ever stated religion in passports. So are you going to ask people? Make them take a quiz? Apart from this idea being evil, it is also stupid, as it cannot be enforced.
- Torturing and killing family members of terrorists. Seriously? I don't know how many laws this would violate, international law, the Geneva convention, the bill of rights, the US constitution, etc. He must have been watching Game of Thrones too much, because this sounds truly medieval. Or fascist. It has no place in a democratic society where we respect the rule of law.
- Abandoning free trade. What can I say? The country will go down the drain. A new North Korea. Or Spain under Franco. Or Argentina under Peron. Or the Soviet Union. All economic disasters. Anyone who knows anything about economics knows this is a bad idea.
As for that slate, if you look at his slate from the business world... Well, it's covered in mafia ties (well, if you were building houses in New York and Atlantic City in the 70's and 80's, probably hard to avoid), discrimination against minorities, use of illegal immigrant workers, sexual harassment, operating a school without a license to do so, calling said school a university eventhough it did not in any way qualify as such, constantly refusing to pay what he owes contractors, suing pretty much anyone over anything, a series of bankruptcies, violating the rules of the casino business... It just goes on and on.
The man has no moral, no scruples, no empathy. He has constantly cheated on his many wives, and he brags about it. If you thought Clinton's womanizing was bad, how do you deal with this?
