Yup. His and Woo’s (and Hogs) salaries all count against the cap, trimming cap accrual once the season starts.
I don't think that's right regarding Woo. If a player is on a two-way deal and was on an NHL roster for less than 50 games the prior year, and they are injured prior to the opening season roster, their cap hit is prorated to the amount of time they were in the NHL last year. https://puckpedia.com/salary-cap/SOIR

I think Woo got a call up last year but didn't see a game. Woo's on a two way.

Yeah, I just read that as well... thanks for the clarification! Nice to be wrong on that one. Wont be much of a hit on the accrual after all... but that only matters if they actually use the accrual this year
