Another blown third period lead - shocking! Guess this will get the media talking about Petey vrs JT, because that is much more relevant than the pathetic defensemen this management is responsible for (excluding Myers and Hughes who played well).

Just don’t want to see the team use the 1st again to fill the gap unless the player coming here has a few years on a good contract.
No bloody rentals.

Regarding Lankinen, I am all for the Canucks re-signing him but not sold on the 'shopping Demko' part yet. If I were the Canucks, I would try to re-sign him for 2 - 3 years with an average of between 2 - 2.5 m per year.

It also long term deal, Miller turns 32 in a few months. At the end of the day it is all about the deal regardless of who goes if either even does.

Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Good, entertaining game. Loved the hitting in the first, that set the tone.
Miller with a statement game (finally) - body language be damned.
Hughes looked himself, even with that brace.
OT loss? Yeah, with this lineup, I'll take it. Still would like to see them hold a lead, though.

The whiny media has had their Miller agenda ever since their begging to tank and weaponize cap space was ignored... like somehow they still don't know who the owner is.
Once again this is another clickbait red herring that diverts to what most non-media sheep can see... it's this awful defence that even the best offence can't consistently outscore to be regarded as anything but a middling team. When you consistently lose to bottom-feeders because of dumb plays and blowing leads, it's not some "feud" that needs to be addressed. Center depth is not the problem right now... unless you make it a problem.

The only way we could have addressed D in the offseason was not to sign Debrusk and re-sign Zadorov for 5x5 or 5x6. Whatever the difference was. Injuries have hurt too.
Lets use this time to see what McWard and D Petey have.
