If someone signed him to the '2nd round compensation' bracket or above that, I would 100% let him go. 3rd round compensation bracket, would think about it, long and hard before matching.

So, guess what I am saying is, I am not sold on Silovs being anything more than an NHL back up at this point.

Or they are worried that Demko won’t regain his heath to play a full season?

When he is playing lots and at his best he’s good on the PK, but I don’t know if they plan to play him in the top six and give him consistent minutes. Tanev or Pesce would be great, but probably not in their price range. They need someone who can kill penalties on the right side defence or their PK may revert back to something Boudreau would be proud of.
