He absolutely can. The Chef hasn’t ever seen him play.

Hilarious that every player outside of this city sucks.
I have seen Dahlin play a few times and that was not what i saw. I saw an excellent skating puck rushing defenseman but more of a stick checker type like Lidstrom

He’s an all around D man. He’s not a big bruiser per se but he can absolutely knock a guy on his ass. He reminds me more of Hedman than Lidstrom. His PPG isn’t far off of what Hughes is putting up. The drunken Cook neglects to mention Dahlin missed some games with a concussion. He just blabbers about points scored and then mumbles about Dahlin being similar to Juolevi. Again... with a weak take like that pretty much confirms that he most likely has never seen Dahlin play. He doesn’t grasp that guys on better teams will put up better numbers. The same meat puppet said Cale Makar wasn’t worthy of being a first round pick a year after he was drafted.

Say hello to Doyle, the only human on earth who is picking Dahlin ahead of Hughes in a redraft. All season the Calder Race has been two names, well three names, a Sabre named Olofson, not Dahlin. Hughes, Makar and Olofson but ole Doyle there is still picking Dahlin

It’s not Dahlin’s rookie year. You do realize that don’t you? I mean you googled the stats. Do you realize Dahlin sat ten games with a concussion?

Troll gonna troll

Hughes has been stunning the hockey world all season except ole Doyle there. He hates the Canucks

The only one stunned is yourself.

I’m stunned that you’re not stunned by what Hughes has been doing all year

Doyle has said on a few occasions he’d a preferred Dobson and was waxing on about Bouchards junior season last year and how great it was like he is with Byram right now. He hates Hughes!! Passionately!!

It amazes me that at your age you still continue to lie. Little kids lie all the time to get out of trouble or to prove a point when arguing with their friends. You are well into your 50s and you constantly lie like a cheap rug. Kinda sad really. :?

What losses? Dahlin is on a horrific team.

That horrific team is charging up the standings, six points back of the Leaves with a game in hand! (And only six points back of the Canucks...)
Plays 3 min a game less, hits like a truck and is strong in his own zone. Their PPG isn’t far off each other this year.
3 min/game is a pretty massive difference.

It's the difference between a Mike Green/Tyson Barrie and a John Carlson/Scott Niedermayer.

He was playing more min last year. Krueger is a smart coach who’s cut the kid’s minutes back. He’s not playing less minutes than Hughes because he’s an inferior player.

Well, Smart Krueger is playing Eichel 22 min/game and Ristolainen 23 min.

Those players are 23 and 25 and physically mature. They’ve played hundreds more games than Dahlin.

He’s playing less minutes than Hughes because Hughes is just too good to keep off the ice

I don't want to step in between a married couple that's arguing, but it could be argued that TG is giving Hughes too much ice time for a rookie defenceman.

This worries me - it's a long season for anyone, but Hughes isn't used to this many games, and the potential playoff run.

So far, he's looked comfortable out there. The kid is a natural skater, which is helping him absorb these minutes, but I hope we can wrap up a spot as early as possible to give the kids fewer minutes down the stretch.
