UFA in two years. Smart move on his part. He’ll get cake.

Yeah I guess I included grit / toughness in the more complete package. He definitely has that going for him.UWSaint wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 10:13 amMegaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 6:56 pm IMO Konecny is a more complete, more consistent, more durable player.I like Konecky, and agree with Blob that he plays with more of a bite and is a better play driver. But at the same time, he's Horvat-like when it comes to using his teammates.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 9:59 pm I'd take Konecny over Brock. He's played with far poorer centers than Boeser. He plays with a bit of bite and he drives play.
I don't think he is "more complete" than Boeser; he's different. Boeser plays with a very high IQ, with and without the puck, and is a better playmaker and has a better shot. Konecny is pretty ineffective on the power play; Brock is good on the PP, screening, hand on rebounds, etc. While Konecny hasn't played with as much skill, Boeser plays a game skilled players love to play with, Konecny not so much.
Konecny plays a more kinetic game; Boeser's game has become quite cerebral. Konecny is a dangerous penalty killer (can cause turnovers and turn them into goals); Brock doesn't kill penalties and would haven't that hop if he did.
They are both good players players who are on the edge of what you want out of a core player, but that's certainly Konecny's role in Philly because there's not much else there (will be interested to see Michkov).
Also, he led the league in shorties last year, Brock doesn't kill penalties. As you say, Brock has added these 'more complete' attributes to his game quite recently. Hats off ton him for his diligence and dedication to his craft.

That is a very tradable contact that takes him to the big payday 1st Ufa deal two years down the pipe. Reminds me of the Miller numbers when Vancouver acquired him (4 x $5.25M).
Burns and Orlov come off the books in a year getting up $13M for renegotiation can begin of the isn't traded.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Who did Rob Blake trade Faber for again? Kevin Fiala? Wonder if he’d like a do-over on that one? Not sure about Blake as a GM. Coulda done a whole lot better with the Toffoli asset. The acquisition of Dubios was downright awful and giving up on Faber? Drafting Turcotte instead of Seider? How does Blake still have a job there? He better hope Kopitar and Doughty don’t retire soon.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 10:01 pm Brock Faber 8 x $8.5

Yeah I was thinking the same thing Chef. It was Faber and a 2022 first for Fiala. Throw in the Dubois trade and some questionable drafting in the first round and you have to think Blake has a very strong bond with the ownership there. Most people would be fired with a track record like that.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 2:58 pmWho did Rob Blake trade Faber for again? Kevin Fiala? Wonder if he’d like a do-over on that one? The Rangers have signed tough defenseman Ryan Lindgren to a one year contract worth $4.5.
I do believe that walks him to UFA status next summer. There should be a lot of interest in his services if the Rangers don't sign him first.

He does seem to be quickly wearing out his welcome there.

Blobby is a staunch defender of Mr Robert Blake...I think he like the big ol' ghetto booty hip checks he used to lay out. I bet he's shaped like the RootbearStrangelove wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 3:49 pm I've noticed alotta Kings fans at HF despise the very core of Rob Blake.
