Boeser has to come in at around a mil less than Konecny to interest me.
IMO Konecny is a more complete, more consistent, more durable player.
If Boeser digs in his heels the Baldies will have no choice but to ship him out.

I'd take Konecny over Brock. He's played with far poorer centers than Boeser. He plays with a bit of bite and he drives play.

If Brock repeats last year's pace, I might offer him as high as $7M x 8
... but only because I tend to get into the Christmas spirit.
If he rejects that, I trade his ass before the deadline.

You know they won’t trade him at the deadline if they are in the playoffs and he’s the major contributor he was where he left off, especially being one of their best playoff performers. He’s certainly no disappearing act like Pettersson and Marner
Two things, they will extend him or walk him to July 1st like a rental.

Peterson was good in his first playoffs. He was dealing with knee tendinitis this year and played with scruffy linemates

I agree, was just trying to remind the “Trade Boeser” crowd just how important he was in the playoffs. I love how people think we would actually trade him at the deadline while getting ready for a cup run. We won’t be selling our only truly legit 1st line winger a month before the playoffs. If he’s not extended he’s walking to July 1st

Yes... "they"... probably wouldn't.
But I was clearly stating what "I" would do
... IF he was having another season like last and IF he refused $7M x 8.
I... would trade him to a non-playoff team for an under-contract, more physical top-6 forward capable of 25-30 goals.
Butt hay, we're all different.
Mind you, I'm bullish on wingers DeBrusk/Heinen/Lekkerimaki.

I like Konecky, and agree with Blob that he plays with more of a bite and is a better play driver. But at the same time, he's Horvat-like when it comes to using his teammates.
I don't think he is "more complete" than Boeser; he's different. Boeser plays with a very high IQ, with and without the puck, and is a better playmaker and has a better shot. Konecny is pretty ineffective on the power play; Brock is good on the PP, screening, hand on rebounds, etc. While Konecny hasn't played with as much skill, Boeser plays a game skilled players love to play with, Konecny not so much.
Konecny plays a more kinetic game; Boeser's game has become quite cerebral. Konecny is a dangerous penalty killer (can cause turnovers and turn them into goals); Brock doesn't kill penalties and would haven't that hop if he did.
They are both good players players who are on the edge of what you want out of a core player, but that's certainly Konecny's role in Philly because there's not much else there (will be interested to see Michkov).

Not sure that Kenecny can shoot the puck like the Brockstar though.

For sure Todd. Brock will outscore him in a good year.
Still, to me Konecny is the more valuable all around player. I wouldn't give Brock that contract.
Not sure I would give that contract to Konecny
