I don't know we are bickering over Laine tbh, his value is skyrocket high due to him being an insane goal scorer- sure fire all-star, & his back is probably 100% by now.
Jets should just re-sign him 8 years and ditch a contract.

I’m not even a massive fan. I just find it amusing that one poster is permitted to lie with full immunity and never backs up many of his comments

Just curious Skyo, since this is your thread n all, what would you say Laine is worth on an 8 year deal?
If you were Benning, what would you be prepared to give up for Laine in a trade (since it seems he'll be available)?

Like Rantanen 8x $9M-$9.5M ish, smidgen more than Draisaitl and S. Aho.
For Laine I'd trade Boeser + a right side dman, maybe both sides offer to swap a depth pick.

NO! Leave the great Brock Boeser here!!! You want to trade Brock plus something for Whiny-Laine? yikes.
Brocks the man !!!!!
and I'm not one of "those" that I'm a card carrying member that wants to rid the world of

Yeah a Boeser trade ain't happening anyways, he just signed a team friendly 3 year bridge contract, we'll just have to cross our fingers he can stay healthy for 70 ish games per season and the playoffs.
Also why I wouldn't mind making a trade to get another sniper as backup,
or just work within! develop Virtanen and Gaudette to there full potential and we got Podz + Hogz on their way in a couple years.

I feel ya Skyo, its the thread for this kind of pipe-dream talk right?
But for me, I wouldn't trade Boeser for Laine, unless Laine came with a sweetener. If you have a perennial all-star, who has a shot to hit 40 goals at under $6 mil,
and isn't a headcase, no way would I trade that for a hope at 5-10 more goals and $3-4 mil higher cap hit.
I've had both guys in my fantasy keeper league for the past 2 years, and Laine is Mister Streaky. Brock has never gone longer than 3 games without a point.

Both are great, be interesting to see how Boeser does in the playoffs, Laine seems like he can be a post-season goal scoring leader for many years. We'd be adding the sweetener regardless. But I'm sick of Laine talk!!!
In any case I'm of the opinion to keep the team "healthier"
we should trade for Ryan Reaves, to make players like Tierney, Mattheson etc think twice before trying to hurt our star players, they ain't trying to injure, but they are trying to hurt em with being extra in their hitting.
Ferland will help, but it'd be nice to have two big soldiers for backup and in case one gets injured.
Or make way for MacEwen full time as he big and aggressive as well with scoring potential, but with Reaves everyone knows when he's around.
