You should have it in your sig, Mëds. It'll get Donny's goat every time he see's your posts.
This is just parrot-ty, ok?

Not sure why the Hughes Trade is in the EP thread…
I was just chalking it up to wishful thinking on the part of us fans who were hoping there was a GM out there stupid enough to offer up a package (like Quinn got us) for Pettersson…..and then Hughes would still be a Canuck.
But then I realized what was what…..after I looked it up.

So the rumoured proposal that JPP was talking about.....
Svechnikov
Stankoven
2026 1st
I can't see it. That's an overpayment unless something else is going back too.....that or the Canucks are retaining a lot.

I can't see Pettersson waiving for any eastern based team that is not New York.....he's gotta build his (and the new influencer missus') brand in a hot spot after all.

He wants to gtfo town and away from scrutiny. Nowhere better to be an anonymous hockey ween than Raleigh apparently

I assumed that was a given.

Don't see why NYI would want another expensive center when they already have Barzal and Bo?

I don't think anyone thinks they would do that.
It's just a question of who Pettersson might waive his NMC for.
On the east coast, I think it's NYC or bust.....maybe Toronto (COTU and all that).
In this coast?
Cali teams
Vegas
Dallas
Utah
Colorado
Seattle
The west coast teams, well it's location, and LA and Anaheim probably higher on the list for him than San Jose, but any of those teams would probably be a "yes" from him when you factor his new wife into the decision.
Vegas wouldn't be too far removed, and has all the glitz and glam, but also lacks the hardcore local fanbase which lets their players stay out of the limelight a little (which he seems to prefer).
Dallas, travel time to where his other half lives is roughly the same as what he has now. Dallas is a team where he would have a better chance to win.
Colorado and Utah.....similar to Dallas. I think the Avs are the "win now" choice, Utah is the up and comer where his talents might be a significant difference maker. Both are just hop, skip, jump, on a plane to LA.
Seattle is a smidge closer to LA than Vancouver, but the team is roughly in the same state of competitiveness. Probably last on his list that he might waive for.

With Carolina losing Kochetkov for the season, they may be looking to shore up the crease.

Remember when OEL came on the scene in Phoenix, was considered to be one of the best up and coming defencemen in game at the time, getting glowing comparisons to fellow countryman Nik Lidstrom? Then, a great mystery befalls OEL, ends up becoming absolute shite. Could this very similar yet mysterious affliction that once took down the great OEL be the same affliction that and will be Petey’s final legacy? It sure is shaping up that way. I also feel that Petey will also be Rutherford and Allvin’s legacy here, the heart of it.
