He’s 20 years old playing on the 3rd line of a cup champ. That’s great production.
He’s the next Harold Druken/Bill Mukalt
So those guys were scoring at a 50 point pace from the 3rd line as 20 year olds on a top team in the league? I’d have to see proof of that to believe it.
Was Button wrong not to include Evan Bouchard on the top 50 NHL affiliated prospects list?

Juolevi was ranked high in the CHL as well. I suspect Dobson will carve out an NHL career but when that comes to fruition is of course unknown.
You most assuredly do not trade an elite talent like Boeser for him and most likely someone Lamoriello wants to heave anyways.
Maybe Virtanen but then again he'll stay here for cheap and we just don't have enough physicality. Jake brings a bit.
You have to draft your own. We finally got a beaut in Hughes but this franchise has a pathetic record in drafting defenders spanning 50 yrs.

Listen I have no doubt Dobson will have a decent NHL career. But his ceiling is still unknown and you simply do not trade a Boeser for an unknown. It’s not a gamble we can afford to lose on. However I’d trade Virtanen or Demko for Dobson. Demko wouldn’t happen because NYI has one of the best goalie prospects out there.

Another thread driven into the ditch by the Chef. His irrational hatred of anything Canadian hockey is well documented over the years.
Back on track, Skin Tag Bertuzzi was finally healthy and getting playing time. He scored 25 goals this year. He’s big, fast, strong and plays with some bite. I‘ve actually watched the kid a couple times over the past two seasons and he is worth a gamble in this years draft. He was eligible to be drafted last year but had a miserable year with injuries and a lack of playing time in Guelph. Todd eventually stepped in and forced the trade to Hamilton.

Trade Boeser to Minnesota for Dumba and their 2020 1st round pick. That way if we win or lose the playoff round robin against Minny we get a 2020 lottery pick regardless. I believe Minny have the 11th best odds
Minny would LOVE to land their Hometown hero Boeser. They’d overpay for him
Then draft Sandersons kid as he’s getting ranked around 11th
Defence is now game set match
Dumba RHD replaces Tanev
Sanderson LHD eventually replaces Edler
Move Tryamkin to RD

I remember watching the 2018 draft thinking the Canucks pick was likely to be Dobson, Bouchard, or Boqvist if they went with a defenseman and Dobson seeming like the right guy given my very limited firsthand knowledge of the three. Sure didn't expect Hughes to drop but Dobson would be a great acquisition.
