What about Forsberg? Or do his foot problems disqualify him from your consideration?

He's up there in my initial post bro. One of the best players of his time along with Jags, Lindros and Kariya. Sick ppg and could do it all.

Still remember him chucking them with Shanahan back in the day. So refreshing to watch a Swede who wasn't a bitch.

Right you are. Dunno how I missed seeing his name there.

This is a tough line-up to put together without Red Army players.

I also don't know about Hasek. Elevate the puck more than 2.5 feet and he was doomed. He thrived in the dead puck era where the majority of chances came from right around the net in heavy scrambles and nobody had time to lift the puck with bodies hanging off of them while they were busy playing whack-fuck on skates. He backstopped some decent teams, and needed to land in Detroit to finally lift the Cup.

I really wish he had come along 5-7 years later so that he was closer to his prime years after the 2004 lockout. Hockey opened up for a while and more than a few goaltenders declined sharply. Even his save percentage dropped big time, but he was already 41 years old at that point.

What about Stan Mikita and Peter Stastny?

Was just gonna drop Tikkanen's name in the hat.

Also have to consider Peter Bondra and Daniel Alfredsson.

Corrado to get his leaves debut today. The Frankie age in Toronto begins, or not.

Watch him get 10 minutes for the whole game... the Shanny vs. Babs theory on Corrado makes the most sense of any so I wonder what instigated the change in posture.

I think the NHLPA was barking a lot on this one. Leaves doing nothing against the rules but a 22 year old was getting shit canned just to prevent him from being put on waivers, something the Frankie camp was beginning to ask for. If he is that good that you are afraid of losing him then play him. Besides they really do need to find out if he is worth keeping or not.

Who do the leaves play today? Aren't they off til Tuesday?

What will be the bigger story... Corrado playing his first, or Stamkos in TO?

Recall several year ago when a young Jarkko Ruutu was riding the pine and our local media tried to make a pre Christmas Grinch management story out of it. Jarkko preached the company line mantra and wouldn't let the hacks bite.

That is how the Frankie story reads to me.
