That’s often the case, you have two guys with amazing chemistry and a 3rd guy who fits with them. Often that 3rd wheel won’t have the same level of effectiveness on another line, but equally often a replacement would not be as effective with the duo.

Morrison won faceoffs, and was the most defensively responsible of the trio while still being a factor offensively.

There's a solid elephant and mouse story Burkie told about BMO Bert and Naslund that occured in Morrisons arb hearing one year.
