Carels is the guy I thought we would pick. I love the D that the Flames are building. Bahl, Parekh, Nemec and now Carels - great top 4 D going forward.

From what I'm reading, there's not expected to be anything more than footsoldiers (dolphins in the Sea of Granlunds?) left by the time the Canucks pick next at 24.
This rebuild is on course to take expansion team levels of patience. We need to find a way to enjoy watching them lose for a couple of more seasons, and hope they can load up in '27 and '28. Demko and TFGs can do a lot to help with that if Demko can look great until the Christmas roster freeze, and TFGs flip him for picks.
Edwards was right: it will be a long time.

Well, that was the other choice. I think they are looking toward the 2027 draft, where there are a lot of centres. Winners are built from the goal out. They have Wolfe in goal, and now 4 great D men/prospects. They will eventually get their centre - I hope.
