Having heavy hitters sprinkled throughout the lines and pairings is clearly an essential. This was why big Zadorov was so important to that Canucks group that could hang in any game.

Canes in 5...Habs are burned out
Avs in 5...just a better team....unless Hart steals some games which would be a helluva story

Great series!
I've been rooting for our expansion cousins all year, but fair play to the young Habs. I won't count them out, but I think the Canes have too much experience for them.

Canes in 5. They'll lose G1 due to the layoff.
Avs in 6. Vegas will try, but just not have what it takes.

Montreal and Tampa were close, but I felt like Tampa had the run of play in at least 2 of the games they lost.
Buffalo absolutely dominated 5 of the last 6 periods in this series, plus had the run of play in OT. Montreal shouldn’t have won…..but they did.
A touch of destiny may be at work here.
So common sense would say Canes in 5. I’m not so sure.

Well....as we all know the last Canadian team to win the SC was the Habs.
That was in 1993.
Montreal went 16-4 including 10 consecutive OT wins.
Conn Smythe winner was Patrick Roy.
Roy wore #33.
The Habs are on another touched by Hockey Gods run.
It's 2026.
1993 was 33 years ago.

There's a minor flaw, in 1926 it were the Montreal Maroons (against the Victoria Cougars).

After seeing my results in the last round, I’ll take Vegas in 4 and Montreal in 7.
The exact opposite of what I think will happen.
As every Canuck fan should know, betting against yourself is always a winning strategy.
