Couldn't be the fact that they drafted 4 NHL players between 2016 and 2021.

Nathan Mackinnon was the dangerous player. Sherwood and Myers both initially think they better cover MP3’s guy and everyone’s out of position.

Bad period in the defensive zone all around. Overpursuit every time.

As for Kampf being a fourth liner so give him a break, (1) that doesn’t excuse Foote for playing him on the second and being totally incompetent, and (2) which league are we talking about for his fourth line caliber? AHL? SHL? It’s not just that Kampf is completely unskilled, he also plays with Jake Virtanen’s iq.

Maybe he’s just warming up….still….because of the Virtanen iq…..takes awhile…

It would be like losing the lottery to draft Gilbert Perrault and ending up drafting Tallon. So fitting.

Nope. That’s on Hughes. Nelson had the step on Sassoon and the puck carrier was being harassed by his back checker. Hughes misreads and points to Nelson who couldn’t be covered to be covered and shades to the puck carrier, who is already being harassed.

Hughes went to try block that pass. If Sasson kept skating, he would have gotten in front or at least beside Nelson. That was a bad read by Hughes, and a lazy backcheck by Sasson.

I can concede to Sasson not executing, but it was still the wrong read by Hughes.

You seem incapable of understanding how teams are built.

It would be disastrous firing Rutherford and Allvin right now. They are doing splendid job tanking this club in a year where there “might be” a generational player who is actually Canadian.

They are almost as good of tank commanders as Lennie Small and Willie the Wimp. I agree, drive it into the ditch.,

Of all the Canuck disappointments this season, he might be the biggest one. I expected much more from him.
