Well hey, we actually made a selection with a 1st round draft pick.
Adds to the Canadian count, a western kid to boot so I'm happy to finally get to watch the WJC cheering a red & white kid for a change. Sounds like a new Bo.
If nothing else we have a ready made chant for the Rog.

If this kid is becomes that Kesler-esque 2C, they done good. If he becomes a skilled two-way 3C like Lundell, they done good.
Can’t argue with this pick.

Was surprised that chant didn't catch on for old Andrew there. But you kinda need to be good to warrant a chant I guess.

I like the Cootes pick, no surprise there. Not only a center, but he plays with some gusto.
