He was clearly the main reason they lost. Why the fuck didn't he score 7 goals? And why the hell didn't he do something about the five goals against he's wasn't on the ice for? It's bullshit.

When you are a top-5 paid player in the league you are expected to drive the bus. He hasn't driven anything.

The entire team was bad tonight, for sure, but he's been almost invisible since February. Team's need spark from their top guys on nights like tonight,and while he's not the only "top guy", he's making $3.6M more than the next highest paid guy, who btw is doing more driving than him on most nights.

The longer the Petey drought goes on, the more i think it might mean knee surgery and a two year recovery.

I think a successful knee surgery (assuming one is indicated) and a long and careful rehab could be the best thing for Pettersson's total career output.

Trouble for the Canucks, though, is that by the time he gets back, this window -- if it ever really was a window -- might well be closed. At that point (3 seasons out -- two to recover and one to prove he'd recovered) they'd be looking to trade him and Hughes to jumpstart the next rebuild.
