Muzzin is 5th in TOI among D since the trade on the Leaves. Mike Babcock is insane. That trade was supposed to push Hainey down in minutes.

Another stat: Since late November, Andreas Johnsson is one of the top NHL scorers 5 on 5. What has Babcock been doing? Playing him on the 4th line. Does that prove Johnsson is worse than his useless boytoy Zack Hyman or the corpse of Patrick Marlreau? No.

They are playing more because the coach can rely on them. Nylander has always been a lazy player and for that will be in and out Babcocks doghouse

Nylander should watch video on Pettersson to learn how to play a 200’ game.

What you don’t understand is that Matthews makes players look better than they are, what he did with Nylander causing the Leaves to overpay for his services massively is now doing the same for Kapanen. Matthews is worth every nickel but Nylander not. Dubas is about to run into a similar contract problem with Kapanen

William Nylander is the real deal, He's a blue chipper with fantastic skill. He'll score with anyone. He's got 9 points in 10 games on the 3rd line with little TOI as you pointed-out.

Terrible excuse. Matthews wingers are actually struggling aside from Nylander and Kapanen.
