The guy has 41 points in 51 games and he plays with absolute shit linemates most of the time. At 5-on-5 Bo gets to skate with Granlund and Baertschi if he's lucky. We often see him being used to equalize a line with wingers who are playing 2 lines above their ability.

He's comparable to Patrice Bergeron when it comes to his 200 ft game, he's not quite the same level of playmaking, but Bergeron has had some dynamite players to skate with......Give Bo wingers like Marchand and Pastrnak and you probably see closer to 70 points out of Horvat.

I like Bo. But his ceiling is likely neither Bergeron nor Messier, to whom you have also compared him to.

Messier, love him or hate him, is considered one of the greatest players of all time. If Bo gets 2/3 of the way there I would be ecstatic.

I agree that for the most part his line mates have been trash. Schaller?

Yeah Monahan is great comparable to Horvat in that they both aren't elite playmakers but they get points, Monahan is a tad more prolific in scoring though as he's been avg 60ish points per since his sophomore year.

So finding one of the better playmakers to draft in the 7-15 range these are the guys ya want.

Trevor Zegras, Peyton Krebs, Alex Newhook, Ryan Suzuki.

Does Horvat approach 60 points more consistently going backwards if he's playing with a guy like Gaudreau? Probably.

He is usually due for a late-season offensive surge, which could put him back on the 70+ point pace he had through December.

He is undoubtedly a #1C, or on this healthy team he's one of the best #2C's in the league. Each season his scoring pace has increased by 10s, so he's consistently getting better.
