The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

To be fair...who isnt carpet bombing the A-rabs?
Meh, it was an errant comment meant as a sarcastic metaphor and perhaps throw a bit of shade on a former republican president famous for managing to fuck up the Vietnam war even worse before dodging impeachment over trying to screw the democratic process.
It’s an interesting comparison but I like the pre war Hitler comparison much better. It’s just carbon copy.
Hitler takes over a political party he formerly had little to do with. He hijacks it’s platform and builds a grassroots populist movement that sweeps him into power then he promptly betrays the voters that put him there by getting into to bed with the industrialists and German elites.
And yet the proto-trumpites, the German people loved him for it. Considered him the greatest politician of all time.
All of this is to say, I think some of us are a lot like Hitler’s voters before he suspended the constitution and declared the third reich

Carpet bombing of North Vietnam was conducted under Democratic President Lyndon Johnson.
Yeah, it’s true Johnson a Democrat stepped up a war that another democrat president “lord” Kennedy started
But it was newly “inaugurated President Richard Nixon who authorized for the first time use of long-range Boeing B-52 Stratofortress heavy bombers to carpet bomb Cambodia.”
Secretly bombing a nation you are not at war with kinda tops Johnson in my books.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Oh boy, we are splitting some fine hairs now.
Operation Menu was a covert United States Strategic Air Command (SAC) bombing campaign conducted in eastern Cambodia from 18 March 1969 until 26 May 1970 as part of both the VIETNAM WAR and the Cambodian Civil War.
America dropped 26,171 bombs in 2016. What a bloody end to Obama's reign
In 2016 alone, the Obama administration dropped at least 26,171 bombs. This means that every day last year, the US military blasted combatants or civilians overseas with 72 bombs; that’s three bombs every hour, 24 hours a day.
While most of these air attacks were in Syria and Iraq, US bombs also rained down on people in Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan. That’s seven majority-Muslim countries.
Blimey, that Obama dude was the mother of all Arab-carpet-bombers!

Well, he definitely did bomb a lot of Arabs, but please note that the people of Afghanistan, Somalia and Pakistan are not Arabs.
I mean, sure, there could be some odd Arab who has moved there, or is visiting either as a tourist or for business reasons, eg bin Ladin, an Arab from Saudi Arabia, was staying in Afghanistan for a while and was later found and killed in Pakistan, but generally speaking, these are not Arabic countries, and you won’t find all that many Arabs there.
