Attempt to blackmail the Ukrainian president in order to get dirt on Biden, eh?
Is it time to rid the tree of peaches?
Didn't Biden do the same as VP?
Why would he want dirt on himself?
But you're hinting at the underlying accusation that Hunter Biden got his job in an Ukrainian gas company as some sort of favour to his father.
There already was an investigation into this that found nothing. Now Trump has been leaning on the Ukrainians that they start an investigation (witch hunt?) that would embarass Biden in time for the election, freezing military aid to the Ukraine that had been decided by and approved by the house and senate, and then calling the president asking him for favours.
As Colbert suggested, Trump has received a clear message from the Muller investigation; no collussion with Russia. So he called the Ukrainians instead....

Bill Clinton was the last President to be impeached.
Only three US presidents have ever been impeached.
Two were cleared, the third (Nixon) resigned before being found guilty.

Hunter's connections with the Ukraine need to be investigated without Daddy threatening the Ukraine.

I don't see any problem with investigating how Hunter got his job, and Giuliani has already done that, but I do see a problem threatening the Ukraine to withhold military aid unless they get involved in US domestic politics.
The Ukrainians have enough problems as it is, with Russia having invaded and annexed Crimea and instigated armed uprisings in Donetsk and Luhansk. They are very dependent on aid from the USA and cannot afford to take sides in the US presidential election.
You conveniently avoided the threats by then vice President Biden

You mean this?
The matter, however, has continued to be questioned by Trump and his allies. They’ve pointed in particular to Biden’s move in March 2016 to pressure the Ukrainian government to fire its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who had previously led an investigation into Burisma’s owner.
Biden was representing the official position of the U.S. government, a position that was also supported by other Western governments and many in Ukraine, who accused Shokin of being soft on corruption.
It's in that French link I posted.
Biden did ask them to fire their top prosecutor, but that was the US official position; a position shared by most western democracies.
It was not a personal crusade.
I can see why Trump and his minions find it interesting, but it has already been investigated, and no wrongdoing was found.
But I guess they want to turn it into another Benghazi witch hunt, eh?
Fine. But do not withhold aid to the Ukraine. That's just wrong.

As for Burisma hiring Hunter....
The company was owned by Zlochevsky, an oligarch close to the Russian puppet Yanokovich, who had just been ousted.
Zlochevsky was being investigated for corruption and enriching himself while serving in Yanokovich's cabinet, so he wanted to distance himself from Russia, and instead establish ties with the USA.
He hired a bunch of Americans, and having a relative of the US vice president on the team probably seemed like an excellent idea.
Zlochevsky is definitely corrupt. No doubt in my mind.
But Hunter? Not necessarily.
I don't rule it out, but three years of investigating this has not brought forth any evidence so far.
I assume it's a witch hunt for political purposes.
Just like Benghazi.

Topper's just trolling and deflecting - but this article sums things up pretty good.

Another step closer...
BREAKING!
A 218-vote majority of the House has publicly backed the Trump Impeachment proceeding.
US President Donald Trump offered to release records of previous phone calls with Ukrainian officials, taking a sarcastic jab at opponents threatening to remove him from office.
Speaking to the press at the UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday, the president laid into critics for their renewed efforts at impeachment and called for transparency on all sides.
“When they look at the information, it’s a joke. Impeachment for that?” President Trump said, referring to the July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky which kicked off the latest drive to impeach.
“You know, that was the second conversation; I think you should ask for the first conversation also,” he continued. “I can’t believe they haven’t.”
Following a leak to the press from an administration insider, Trump was accused of pressuring Zelensky to reopen an investigation into the business dealings of Joe Biden and his son Hunter in Ukraine – namely Burisma Holdings, a natural gas firm where Hunter Biden served as a director. The White House released a transcript of the phone call in question on Wednesday.
Despite stating he “hated” the precedent of sharing communications with foreign heads of state, the president joked that the media ought to demand more, and said he would be willing to provide the dirt.
“I think you should ask for VP Pence’s conversation, because he had a couple of conversations [with Zelensky] also,” Trump said. “I could save you a lot of time; they’re all perfect, nothing was mentioned of any import other than congratulations.”
“You can have it anytime you need it, and also Mike Pence’s conversations,” he said.
