As unthreatening as the top six is, man but that bottom six is poo. They may end up with 20 goals between them.
83 games to go and they only need to pot 17 more.

Would be happy to be wrong.

Henrik mentioned he's hoping to have Demko back before Christmas.
....nice info to drop after all the ticket packages are sold.
These (new) fucking guys.
Would be a sad commentary on the collective IQ of Nuckleheads if they bought tickets to see Demmer.
As for the outlook on our two glass players, anything positive is a bonus I will happily take…pretty much bought into the thought that these guys don’t exist in the organization anymore. Though really hoping for the best for two completely different reasons.
Chytil - anything just to help improve the Miller trade, which is looking worse and worse with him out and Mancini pretty much a bust. Though the 2030 1st is a damn good salvage we can cling to and hopefully we can get something more for DOC come March.
Demko - just for his own sake as it sucks to see a player this good have a career derailed. Hope he can salvage
something of what’s left of his career, preferably elsewhere of course as we don’t need a game stealer for another 3/4 years.

Hey Nuck..nice to see you.
Not so much that as being led to (over) spend ones hard earned money with raised ticket prices after a last place finish via a presumption of (at the very least) competiveness.
Otherwise known as a lie....allegedly.

Yeah, you too DL. Hope y'all had good summers but it's officially over, 1st day of school

catching up on posts. Kinda fun to start off with an unexpected exciting win, which in reality is a loss, but OK against the Oil and nice reprieve from the hell to come.

Caveat emptor. Pretty sure fans know what they're in for without having to be told anything, but I hear ya with the messaging.
Mind you I can't speak for money spending fans as I'm not one to put a dime into this owner's pocket.

No game thread up yet, so I'll jest stash this here for now.
Same lineup.

Yeah - BCE said he'd get one going, but you can never rely on a flames fan...

Wait. Are we doing what we did last year? Losers are winners?

Donny lost (he won).....just create it. If you don't have one up by 1:30 I'll do it.

Read the CA article about Boeser and his potential legacy.
https://canucksarmy.com/news/brock-boes ... nucks-star
There’s a role for a player like Boeser in mentoring the kids through the rebuild. He doesn’t have much of the taint of the recent dramas, and he’s a veteran pro whose habits I have never heard critiqued. They can’t keep all their vets, but Brock may be one of them.
There’s a good chance he may be one of the few players to play his whole career in Vancouver. Hell, he may end up in management the way things are going. Yes, UDub, he could well prove the counter-point to the example set by the Tkachuks on the topic of Americans in Canadian markets - and I’ll leave that at that.
‘Twas only four years ago when management gave Brock’s agent permission to talk to other teams about a trade. Talk about a guy who’s seen the highs and lows in Vancouver - personally and team-wise.
Life moves fast.

I’m down with making Brock a Canucks “lifer”. Multiple reasons:
Not going to bring much back in a sell, I don’t think there’s anyway with that contract that any team would part with anything of value for him (just ask the skinnier baldy).
We need bodies. One of the goals of the rebuild will be to create a revolving door of players brought in for short-term flips. The more the better but you still need to fill a roster so you’ll need a handful of regulars. He’s perfect for one of those spots.
Good all around guy impossible to dislike. I’ve always said give me 20 dirtbag Marchand-types over 20 nice guys any day if it means championships, but nothing wrong with cheering for the good guys either. Mostly with the way Americans are leaving for greener pastures it’s making it easier to pull for guys who want to be here and actually give a shit about the team.
Good culture carrier and mentor for the kids.
All that said, I doubt Brock will be end up being a lifer because if the rebuild goes as hoped and we start to come out of it by the turn of the decade, by then he will become our Brendan Gallagher where there’s just no space for him anymore. That’s the hope anyway.

Not sure about having Karly94, DOC18 & Buium in the rotation, still rather young and inexperienced.
I would have seriously considered having Gally7, Oleksiak or Schenner2 in the rotation, but I guess they are new to the team and may not be with team very long. JD74 would be a deserving choice as well, but maybe they don't expect that he'll be around much longer as well.
But, looks like they grooming Buium24 to be the next C.
