They have looked far more dangerous. Lankinen has actually been good on all but one.

Positive, Petey, Garland and DeBrusk looked like a top line.

Let’s remember that Lankinen was kept over Silovs not because he was necessarily a better back up option but because no one knew if or how Demko would bounce back. He was kept because he was seen as a better starter option. If there had been full confidence that Demko would be Demko then I think you see a different path, for cap reasons alone. Plus, Silovs didn’t exactly play well for the Canucks last year when he did have a chance. Canucks made the right call.

I'd say the last two goals, a better goalkeeper would have stopped.

Montreal did their rebuild properly. Had a few hiccups but over all is ahead of the Canucks overall. Quicker puck movement was a big difference.

Was good to see EP have a strong night.

Too many AHL level players on the team.
